Vacations Close To United States Coast Guard Academy

The property was clean and staff were helpful. But we were struggling with some doorlocks. Looks like they need to change those as tapping the lock-cards will not always immediately open the door. You have to try multiple times. We were on the 4th floor. May be the 3rd floor is renovated.

This hotel was in an excellent location for our stay and generally was well looked after. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was adequate The pool was a little warm for swimming and we had a problem with the shower head but nothing that spoilt our stay.

I recently had a 3 night stay. The hotel was clean and neat. The staff were very friendly. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent. The trolley service to and from Newport was a god send, drivers Gene and Mike where very knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations for places to eat and see. The only cons were; there was no safe in the room, so when I went to the pool in the afternoon I had to take my purse with me. The lack of dresser draws was inconvenient and the general lack of privacy in the bathroom with the barn doors that don’t lock. The lack of a shower curtain had the bathroom floor getting all wet which is a safety issue. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again myself.
