We had a great stay with Agnus. The room was spacious, clean and it had a great sea view. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel also offered free tuk tuk to the nearby Jungle beach. Breakfast was really good too.

Fantastic hotel

Fantastic hotel and excellent service. The pool area is magnificent and the rooms with sea view the same. Spacious and clean. The hotel manager is the sweetest person, and he helped us with every situation we had during our stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Recommend it highly.

Hillside gem 💎 in Unawatuna

I spent 2 blissful nights relaxing here in a panoramic ocean view room which definitely lived up to its name with spectacular views free rom large windows and a balcony. The restaurant and rooftop bar/ lounge are super friendly and the live music on one night was amazing! The infinity rooftop pool was refreshing and again... those views is Hotel has an elevator which is an added bonus too and there is a free shuttle to Jungle Beach!

Hotel and staff are really friendly ensuring that we had a great stay. Great location right near jungle beach, which the staff offer a free shuttle service to. The breakfast is really nice and the property overlooks great views of Galle lighthouse. PickMe offers cheap Tuk Tuks/taxis to unawatuna/ galle. Overall had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend!

Beautiful view from rooftop (4th floor) pool and from restaurant / lobby area (2nd floor). Only rooms on 3rd floor have sea view. Those on 1st floor and ground floor can only see garden. Nothing around the property so need transport if don't want to eat in hotel. Reasonable quality food in restaurant for dinner and breakfast, but nothing special.

Beautiful hotel

The hotel is beautiful with amazing views and excellent staff. The hotel has a free shuttle service between 8.30 and 4.00 to Jungle Beach and the temple. It’s also just ten minutes by tuktuk to Galle which cost about £1.50 - £2.00. The pool is lovely and the roof top bar sells great cocktails. We ate dinner at the hotel which was delicious and reasonably priced. They were very accommodating of our dietary requirements (vegetarian and vegan.) We had the Sri Lanka breakfast - again prepared vege/vegan. But they also offer English and continental which looked delicious too. All of the plug sockets in the room were uk sockets and so the universal charger we had been travelling with wasn’t compatible. However the manager leant us his travel plug which was very helpful. This was my favourite hotel in Sri Lanka and I wish we’d stayed longer.

We had a truly delightful week-long stay at Agnus. The room was light, spacious, and immaculate, with a very comfortable bed, refreshing rain shower, and stunning sea views overlooking Galle. The delicious food, refreshing drinks, meticulous cleaning, and friendly, attentive service further elevated our experience. The rooftop pool and bar provided a welcome bonus, offering a chance to relax and enjoy the views. While exploring the bustling Unawatuna beach area was easy by foot or tuk-tuk, returning to the serene atmosphere of Agnus was always the highlight.

A room with a view…times100! Although I seemingly found this hotel by chance, I think it was kismet! My room was enormous and spacious, with an expansive wall of glass leading onto a private balcony, overlooking the most indescribably exquisite views of the Indian Ocean, Jungle Beach, Buddhist Peace Pagoda, and Galle. The staff are attentive, but respectful and not intrusive. The hotel offers a free tuk tuk to Jungle Beach, an exotic tropical beach straight out of the movies! Such a memorable stay at Agnus Unawatuna!!

Amazing hotel

Agnus Unawatuna is honestly the best hotel i have ever stayed at! It has the most perfect and beautiful location, the view is from another planet (I booked ocean view). Everything else was also top quality from cleaning, food and service. The staff was helpful and sweet. I truly recommend to stay here for everyone visiting Sri Lanka.

Amazing days

We had three amazing nights in Agnus. The staff was amazing, so kind and helpful. The view over Galle is great and the infinity pool is beyond words. For sure we will come back to this place. We had English breakfast and it was the best!

Best view and the beat staff!

Really enjoyed our 5 nights long stay. The staff are amazing and so is the view. Everything is new and fresh. 10 minutes by tuktuk to both Galle and Unawatuna. So it’s easy to get away day and night time. A little bit scary to go up the hill when you go back, but the tuktuks are strong and trustful. Thank you for our stay!
