“A fantastic little farm off the beaten track in the Karoo. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with air conditioning and all the regular amenities. There is a lovely little swimming pool to cool off in and the farm animals around the rooms add to the charm of the place. The honesty bar is very welcome after a long hot drive through the Karoo and the food is delicious and plentiful. The only thing that could be improved is that breakfast should be included in the price as it’s not cheap...

“I was pleasantly surprised during our last visit to the Hotel. We used it as a halfway stop on the way back from Kimberly. The front-of-house was very friendly, good vibe in the restaurant/pub and the food was very good. One does have to realise it is a "vintage" hotel and if you would be so inclined, one could find fault everywhere. But I will definitely return again. The bedding was excellent and the bed massive! Overall it is clean, comfortable and friendly and that was good enough for me on...

“Very friendly staff and the guys have put a lot of thought into many little areas which make you come away feeling that this is a great place to stay. Very remote with stables and cattle pens, really nice.”

“We arrived in a heatwave and were very happy to find an air conditioner in the main bedroom but the second room had only a ceiling fan. The rooms were clean and well furnished with a fridge, kettle, makings of coffee. Plenty of water and ample hot water for the three of us. In future, I would choose to eat in Colesberg, about 5 Kilometers away. Safe parking was provided and our bicycle stayed on the car.”

The money I paid you did not go to the new owner, but instead they suspect it went to the woman that was running the place before it was sold 4 YEARS AGO!!!! ”
