My grandparents stayed at this hotel back in the 1950s so I gave it a whirl. Good location within walking distance to most places in Ullapool and very self-contained with no need to venture out for meals. Large parking lot for easy parking. We ate dinner at the hotel as my 88 year old mother was tired. For breakfast we went to The Bothy Coffee Shop. Very cute and quirky place with indoor and outdoor eating space.

Parking was easy, check in was pretty no-frills and straight forward. Room was reasonably clean. Amenities were basic but sufficient. Cons: the mattress was quite thin and lumpy (could feel the springs), and the noise isolation between rooms were pretty poor (could hear the upstairs neighbour walking around).
