  • Jagdish Temple is one of the famous temples of Udaipur. Located in the City Palace complex of Udaipur, this temple is made in the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. In 1651, Jagdish temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh, who ruled Udaipur during 1628-53. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the preserver of the Universe. It is celebrated for being the largest temple in the city of Udaipur. The gateway of this temple can be sited at a distance of 150 meters from the Bara Pol of the City Palace. This three-storied temple is a wonder of architecture that comprises beautifully carved pillars, decorated ceilings, painted walls and lush halls. In those times, 1.5 million rupees were spent to raise this structure. The spire of the main temple is around 79 feet high that undoubtedly dominates the skyline of Udaipur. This shikhar (spire) is festooned with sculptures of dancers, elephants, horsemen and musicians making it truly a sight to behold. As and when you approach the temple, you will be welcomed by two huge stone elephants at the entrance. On the very front of the temple, you would find a stone slab that is imprinted with the inscriptions with reference to Maharaja Jagat Singh. To reach the main shrine, you have to take a marble flight of 32 steps. Here, you will find a brass image of Garuda, a figure of half-man and half-eagle. This huge idol stands as if; it is guarding the doorway of Lord Vishnu.

Stayed with family in Presidential Jacuzzi Suite from 22 to 25-Dec 2025 (3 nights). Pretty new hotel with super spacious and neat rooms decorated well with Rajasthani art works. Even the 5-feet tall shelf had beautiful doors. Staff were very courteous, especially my kudos to Mr. Abhishek (General Manager). He guided us and helped us with local conveyance for sight-seeing. He listens before he speaks and that's something I have not seen with many such people, especially in tourist destinations. I strongly recommend this place for families to stay.

Our stay at this hotel was great. The staff is amazing and the manager Abhishek will make everything possible to make you feel comfortable and at home. The rooms are pretty spacious and clean. I was surprised by the water pressure of the shower, it was one of the best showers I ever had. The hotel has a restaurant which we used twice for dinner and the food was absolutely delicious! Please try the pastas and the indian food, you won’t regret it. At the end of our stay we were able to check in an hour later without a problem and they even took care of our bags while we went to explore. We did have an inconvenience with our room; we got a room on the ground floor and it was noisy as it’s beside the front desk and the stairs. But the staff was super helpful and did the impossible to change the us to another room. The distance to all the major attractions are max 10 min in auto. So it’s close enough to everything but far enough to get away from the crowds. I would totally recommend to stay here. This hotel completely surpassed my expectations and would stay again if I visit Udaipur in the future.

The hotel is definitely not luxury. It is at best a 3 star hotel. They are overstating the luxury aspect. The rooms feel very sterile and require more personality to it. Everything has tile so the hotel is very loud and echos. There isnt a partition between the shower and the toilet/sink. A hotel cannot consider themselves luxury if you cannot include something as simple like a shower partition. The breakfast buffet is a sad excuse for food. Also note that their address on google maps is incorrect.
