The staff were the stand out feature of this property. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the tiwel animals cute. The spa was incredible. The best massage we've experienced. The restaurant food was really tasty. Lovely pool area.

An excellent property and stay. The staff are most friendly and the location, at the end of the ridge walk and away from busy Ubud is excellent. Nevertheless there are some issues: - The menu has very limited Indonesian offerings and none, sometimes one, for breakfast. Indonesian cuisine is very rich and has a lot to offer and I was a little disappointed that even basic breakfast dishes such as nasi goreng, bubur ayam and others were not offered for breakfast. While there are some dishes for lunch and dinner, choice is limited and the twice a week BBQ did not offer anything indonesian. - much of the gym equipment is not working or of poor quality. - the mattress was a little sagged. Overall it was still a good stay.

Nice hotel

Had a great stay at the Lokha Ubud. The hotel is situated a bit off central Ubud. Room was as described, very nice. The scenery is breathtaking

Nice hotel and rooms, they were extremely well kept and the amenities were amazing. Breakfast and diner was really good with a lot of options. The hotel is like 30 minutes away from the city center.

Very friendly staff and very nice villa also got and very nice surprise in our room restaurant very good only thing to mention it’s a little bit far walking distance to the city centre so if you’re not very happy about walking 20 to 30 minutes or renting a motorbike, it’s perfect

Highly recommend

The Lokha was a hidden gem. My wife and I can to Ubud for our honeymoon and we are glad we stayed at this resort. Rooms were very clean and the staff were super friendly. The resort has a lot of amenities like a spa, restaurant, and small gym. The resort offers shuttles to Ubud city center and taxis to surrounding locations. Staff went above and beyond to take care of us. One of the best resorts in Ubud.

Nice hotel but don't count on the food....

Breakfast is very low quality. Without too much effort you can do far better!!! If you are the kind of person who like enjoying your hotel's stay with a good breakfast then it's not a place for you.

Stayed in the pool villa for 3 nights with my partner and was an amazing experience. Staff were so caring and helpful. Food wasn’t the greatest for the breakfast buffet but apart from that everything else was perfect. Recommend the beauty for two package for the massage as was so romantic with the bath overlooking the Forrest. Definitely coming back with my girl!

I had high hopes for The Lokha Ubud, but my stay was underwhelming—especially given the premium pricing. Things started off oddly when I ordered a pizza from room service. It arrived in under 10 minutes (impressive!), but was completely cold. Not exactly the welcome meal I was hoping for. The next afternoon, I was hit with a blast of loud, thumping music. I asked the staff about it and got a bit of a mystery tour: first they claimed it was coming from their own restaurant (?), then later—after some back and forth—they finally admitted it was actually from a live DJ pool party at the neighboring Amora resort. A little heads-up might’ve been nice. They said they’d ask them to turn it down… unsurprisingly, that never happened. To their credit, they offered to move me to a different room—further from the noise and closer to the river, where the sound of rushing water mercifully helped mask the bass. But then came another letdown: the bed sheets had a distinct mildew smell, and there was visible mold in the bathroom. For a property charging this kind of rate, that’s just plain sloppy. On the bright side, the staff were genuinely friendly and tried their best to accommodate—but no amount of smiles can make up for poor soundproofing, mystery mold, and a club-level soundtrack in what’s supposed to be a tranquil jungle retreat. For the same price, you’d be far better off at the Hyatt in Sanur.

Overpriced

For the price, it wasn’t much better than basic priced hotels. Room was nice, gym was terrible, spa was overpriced, and the food was average. Also an awkward location that means you have to spend lots of money on taxis if you want to travel into ubud.

We shared feedback about this property, and the staff basically shared that they had received no complaints, meanwhile we shared pictures of dirty towels, dirty sheets, molded bath robes, etc. we selected this hotel because of how close it was to everything, but it turned out to be a nightmare. The resort is fairly old and it is not being taken care of properly. Rooms that aren’t being used, they are not throughougly cleaning them, maybe because they don’t think that anyone will check the sheets and bed. One of our couples LEFT, found a new property and met with us every day. We tried to get a refund to find a new property and were told “no complaints had been filed, even after sharing pictures”. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SEPTEMBER 2023
