The property is beautiful, and every detail was well thought out. It is outside of the main Ubud area and quiet around it, and they offer a shuttle to the downtown area. Soraya, the owner, is very pleasant. The staff will go the extra mile to help us and make us comfortable. Amazing place!
This place is a VERY cute (I believe they only have 10 rooms and one villa) hotel. Pool overlooks a small but beautiful rice field. Staff is excellent - attentive, hospitable, helpful, and professional. Their onsite restaurant is also excellent which I love- everything I ate there was so good and reasonably priced. They also have free breakfast all cooked to order. Just be careful of mosquitos (although they attack all over Bali!) I definitely would stay here again if I return to Ubud!
Absolutely outstanding service. Some of the best I’ve ever had. The front of house ladies Diane and Kadek were so friendly and helped us book transport and activities at short notice. The Floating Breakfast was a fun addition.
The garden environment throughout the property was stunning and the pool and restaurant were so relaxing. We enjoyed a massage on site too. The bed was comfortable. Obviously it is a rural environment so it is completely normal to have some insects outside but bug spray was provided so we didn’t have an issue. We used the free shuttle into town too.
Overall fully recommend. Definitely lots to do nearby including rice terraces, monkey forest, waterfalls, famous temples, great shops and restaurants.
The place is super beautiful, they have great food and the staff is very friendly, but there's a construction next door that affects the view of the rice fields a bit and you can hear some noise. I also booked a tour at the front desk from 9am to 8pm, but the tour ended before 3pm. They didn't take me to four of the places that were included, and the driver seemed like he wanted to finish the tour quickly. I understand the tour is separate, but it wasn't what I expected. Aside from those things, everything else was great.
It was a wonderful experience staying at Calma. The place is beautiful, the staff is friendly and professional, the food is awesome. It ticked all of our boxes!

Absolutely loved my stay at Calma. The staff was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and well kept and the room was stunning with lots of little extras. Will definitely recommend and stay here again.
The place had a beautiful vibe with nature all around and the staff were very good!
Bad - The location on the Expedia site is incorrect and the hotel needs to correct this as it shows it being close to UBUD central when in reality, it's 2 miles away.
The pool area from the pic is different now as there is natural growth and other homes/hotels around but still a small rice field at the back.
Calma Ubud is in a tranquil setting a short drive from the city centre where they offer a free transfer service at intermittent times! The restaurant is excellent as is the spa but it’s the friendly staff who make the stay! Would recommend staying here and in using Toke Toke Bali to view the rice fields, temple and coffee all via a vintage VW vehicle
Very beautiful 2 bedroom villa amidst lush surroundings, lovely massage area and tucked away sun lounge chairs .Food at the restaurant was well priced and very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but cold have been more informed about tours. Only 1 15-minute walk to central Ubud town.

Calma Ubud was incredible. It is a beautiful property and well hosted and run. It is just outside the city center for peach and quiet but they offer shuttle service. The hostess is always available to support your stay and help with any activities. We had breakfast there as well and it was great with a nice view over the valley behind. I recommend the stay to anybody in the area.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Calma Ubud, and we must say that it exceeded our expectations on every level. This boutique resort nestled in the heart of Ubud offers not only a tranquil escape but also a remarkable experience in terms of hospitality and gastronomy.
The accommodations at Calma Ubud are nothing short of luxurious. Our room is thoughtfully designed, blending traditional Balinese aesthetics with modern comforts. The attention to detail in the room amenities and the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes created a serene atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect with nature.

What an exquisite boutique hotel!! The rooms are just gorgeous! Clean and comfortable. Love the little touches like the water and bowl of fruit, the bamboo slippers and bag to use for the pool. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely loved the dining/pool area overlooking the creek…so serene! My husband and I indulged in a couples massage and bath and it didn’t disappoint! Well worth having! We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed a few nights. Would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel and hope we can come back again one day!!
Nice staff and nice plants. Breakfast is good. The room, the lobby and the swimming pool area do not look the same as in the pictures, which are way more nice than the reality. I booked the room for the blue colour cushions/decorations, only to find that no blue color is in the room. The room is dark (not enough lighting) with moulds. Cannot see rice field from the swimming pool as indicated in the pictures. Toilet is not good, you have to push 2-3 times and switching between buttons to ensure that the water stops running. The wash basin top has cracks. Door is a bit stuck. Not enough chairs in the swimming pool area and they look dirty. Overall, it has good aspects, but not worth the money.
This is a beautiful, quiet and tranquil boutique hotel located in Ubud.
The outlook from the pool and restaurant has a jungle/rain forest type feel making you feel you are miles away from everything.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped and compliment the relaxing vibe of the hotel.
The food and service by all staff was second to none meaning you ever had to leave. There were also little restaurants and small supermarkets within easy walking distance for any other supplies you may need.
Transport is offered to and from the centre of Ubud via a free scheduled service or a pay on demand if outside these times. As usual in Bali a quick walk outside can also get you a passing driver.
We would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet relaxing hotel to get away from everything and just simply unwind.
They also have an in-house massage/spa facility to make sure you completely rejuvenate during your stay.
We highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back for another visit.
Completely unrelated to the hotel please be mindful of the money changer just down the road, always make sure you are the last person to count the money as we did to find they had taken some out. They re checked after we had checked meaning we had to re count a second time and found the difference, suddenly they no longer spoke English. Please change your money in town. Again they are not related to the hotel.
Calma Ubud is highly recommended!! We stayed 5 nights and loved it! Our 2 bedroom ‘Villa’ was beautiful and quiet. The hotel is 5 minutes drive from the Center but it’s worth it!
Mostly, it’s the staff that is so wonderful and helpful!!
