Our stay at this hotel in Ubud was overall pleasant. The scenery is beautiful and the location is very convenient—close to the center of Ubud. We booked the honeymoon suite, which was definitely the highlight: very private with our own pool, which we loved especially since the main pool was green during our entire stay. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was decent but lacked variety, so we opted out for the latter half of our stay. Overall, a solid 3-star experience.

Thank you Ulus Petulu for your hospitality. Staff members were very friendly, professional, and helpful. Location is strategically closed to the heart of Ubud. Rooms are clean, and beds are beautifully decorated. Breakfast is simple, but tastes good. It wasn't buffet; it was made based on order. We booked a 2 bedrooms villa, but it only had 1 bathroom which is not convenient. One bedroom is up stair. Down stair bedroom is located right as soon as we open the front door. There isn't any living room which is also a downside.

Indonesia is mind boggling. Temples, monkeys, zippy scooter people, lots of green and very kind people. This Villa Resort was beautiful. Makes you wonder how long all the lush greenery has been growing. We were in the single floor Honeymoon Villa. Lots of space, comfy bed, private pool and backyard space. I can't recommend it enough. Our rate included breakfast daily and it was quite satisfying and tasty. ALL of the workers were wonderful especially Amanda. I can also recommend tours with Bli Kanek. He took us to the monkey forest one day and toured all around Ubud the next and then took us to our next place in Seminyak. What a lovely 5 nights we had.

Alas Petulu was a great little hotel to stay in. Super friendly and helpful staff. Located on a small road off the main street of Ubud - so it's peaceful and quiet, yet very accessible to the town centre. Housekeeping services daily, and the rooms are kept very clean. Nice pools, and good breakfasts every morning too!

Lovely staff, good location, nice room.

Very friendly & helpful staff (when we were checking out, someone was doing some groundworks and saw us with the suitcases and came straight over to help). Beautiful grounds. Steps have a ramp by them for ease of transporting suitcases (though staff did help). We stayed in one of the honeymoon villas which was very pleasant - just be careful on the stairs as the top step isn’t marked and we nearly tripped a few times.They gave us a towel/floral arrangement on arrival which was so sweet. Lots of breakfast options, though just fruit or egg if gluten free. Room had a mini bar with drinks & some snacks (to buy). Good location - short walk into the main streets of Ubud. Though location is slightly wrong on google maps (we had to keep walking further up). Overall would recommend. Thank you!

Nice staff, big room with nice balcony. Breakfast fine. Annoying sharp small step into bathroom, almost broke my toes twice. Small lizards in room and large ones on the balcony, perhaps to be expected on the edge of the jungle. Hot water available most of the time. Mineral water chiller/heater in room was great. As with most of Ubud, the road is slightly perilous for walking - no space for pedestrians, open drainage ditches and limited lighting. Sign outside is not obvious and easily missed.

Room wasn't properly prepared when we were granted access ( Used towels left hanging in bathroom - and who knows what else? ). Our room (family room) looking a bit worn, though does look to be one of the earlier structures. Noisy dogs barking at night. Restraunt only open for breakfast but breakfast is OK. Great pool and landscaping. 10 min' walk to town. Great drinking water unit in room, every place should have one. Staff friendly. Overall a good experience but tainted by questionable room prep'.

We booked this hotel because of the beautiful pool area that we saw in the pictures. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with reality. The pool and the surrounding was dirty, without chaise lounge mattress and the construction of a building right there made the place awful. So the main reason that we chose this hotel was cancelled. The breakfast was simple and just 3 a la carte choices. If someone want extras as yogurt must pay.
