Came here to celebrate our 7 year anniversary, wish we looked else where. Pool and spa were closed for “inspection”, from what we could tell the pool and spa had been closed for a while (no pool access was not listed anywhere on Expedia). Employees had zero dress code, in t shirts and gym shorts. All ammedities were not available, that being the restaurant, pool/spa, wine cellar, and cafe. Tennis court is abandoned. Breakfast was little to nothing, and the food that was there was covered in fruit flies. Paid over $300 (one night only) for what was advertised to be a luxury hotel with great ammedities. Unfortunate to see a beautiful hotel not being used or up kept to its potential. Bathroom sink was leaking, great to see the trash bucket underneath it when we arrived as a solution. Only good thing was the bedroom and bed were clean. Won’t be coming back again. Look elsewhere.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I cannot recommend this property based on my experience. Before I arrived, my reservation was cancelled because the air conditioning in my assigned room had failed, yet no one contacted me beforehand. After arriving, the proprietor worked with me to find a temporary solution, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the problems extended well beyond the A/C. The room showed obvious signs of deferred maintenance, including rust-colored staining and what appeared to be mildew around the bathtub. I found numerous insects in the room, including what appeared to be a cockroach, and dozens of dead insects on the windowsill. The “fitness center” was extremely limited, consisting of little more than a bench, dumbbells, an exercise ball, and yoga mats. The property has attractive architecture and good bones, but it feels dated and lacks the level of maintenance and attention to detail expected of a hotel. Ultimately, I decided to check out early and relocate to another hotel. The difference in cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest experience was immediate.
