We really loved this hotel. The "jailhouse" vibe was cool and we enjoyed the history presented along with it. The kakola neighborhood is beautiful and worth exploring. The hotel staff were very helpful and kind.

Great staff. We arrived at 8 am from an overnight cruise from Stockholm and they let us check in. So nice. Everyone here has been fantastic at this unique hotel.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is amazing: plenty of food choices and Finnish specialties including the Karelian pie (and veggie option of that even). The hotel is modern, clean and tidy, with maintaining a hint of their prison history. The associated part of the building is almost a community: a gym, a spa, bakery, restaurants, shops and a funicular going downhill to the river. Highly recommended, and definitely will stay there when I visit Turku next time.

Suosittelen Hotelli Kakolaa

Huoneessa oli hyvä ilmastointi, se oli helteellä tärkeää. Aamiainen on hotellimatkalla tärkeä, ja se oli erinomainen. Esim makeat lajit oli jaettu tarpeeksi pieniksi paloiksi, joten hävikkiä ei syntynyt. Hotelli oli lisäksi siisti, ja henkilökunta ystävällistä.

Kokemisen arvoinen paikka.

Huone aivan ihana, siisti ja tilava sekä kaunis. Sänky ja tyynyt erinomaiset. Ei mitään huonoa sanottavaa, aamiainen oli runsas, monipuolinen ja erinomainen. Tämä paikka menee ehdottomasti jatkoon. Hotellin ympäristö myös tutustumisen arvoinen. Itselleni paras hotellikokemus mitä on ollut. Oikeastaan ainoa asia mitä jäin miettimään, niin henkilökunnalla oli jatkuvasti kovin kiire ja yrittivät kovasti selkeästi tehdä kaikkensa.. mietin, että onko henkilökuntaresurssi riittävä heidän työmäärään nähden.

Hyvä ja toimiva sekä eksoottisella paikalla olrva hotelli. Sisällä hotellissa hieman tummaa väritystä ja valaistuksen suhteen kaipaisi käytävilla kehittämistä. Huoneen ilmastoinnin hallitapaneeli löytyi vasta tosien päivän aamuna. TV:n asetusten hallinta suljettu pois, (suljettaessa TV herättää kovaäänisellä äänilogolla kanssamatkustajat)

Hotelli Kakola

Mielenkiintoinen ja upea hotelli. Laaja ja herkullinen aamupala. Kylpyamme oli kiva lisä. Ainoa miinus, että ilmastointilaitetta ei saanut säädettyä alle +20 asteen joka ei näillä helteillä ollut tarpeeksi viilentämään huoneen itselle mukavaksi. Mutta kaikki muu oli toimivaa ja tulemme kyllä ehdottomasti joskus uudelleen

Vår vistelse, lite besvikna.

Vid ankomst lång tid innan hjälp. Tidvis obemannat. Vid resturangen inget annat språk av menyer än finska, personalen svårt att tala engelska. Vid frukost hög bakgrunds musik. Mycket hög ljudnivå av bortplockning av disk. Sa till om musiken som då sänktes. Diskplocknings skrammel fortgick. Rummet hade fantastisk luft med AC samt säng och kuddar var super sköna!

Kapselikahvin keitin ja tomaattien kannat

Hyvä kokemus. 1) Kapseli-kahvinkeittimen. käyttöohje pitäisi saada, esim. laminoituna sei nälle. Kahvinkeitin näytti jopa ihan käyttämättömälle. Veden laitto siihen vähän kömpelöä. Emme saaneet toiminaan, tuli pelkkää vettä. 2) tomaattien 'kannat' pitäisi leikata pois, kun niissä on jotain terveydelle haitallisia aineita.
