An oasis of calm

We stayed at Magazzini San Domenico for one night, our first night of a two week tour around Italy. We couldn't find it initially, but the owner came out and found us! He couldn't have been more accommodating. The room was beautifully designed, very comfortable and quiet, but also right in the centre of Turin. We were travelling by train to our next destination the next day, but not until the afternoon. The owner was apologetic that we had to vacate our room by 12 (due to the next guests arriving) - a perfectly acceptable scenario. But he very kindly gave us the use of a single room to leave our luggage, use the bathroom etc until we needed to catch our train. I would highly recommend Magazzini San Domenico, and would stay there again if in Turin.
