I had a gut feeling about this property a few weeks before when I emailed them and they didn’t answer. When I checked in I could feel something wasn’t right. I asked for the WiFi and there was none but when I booked it said there was WiFi on the property. The property itself is small and it is at the end of a road of tons of construction and an empty lot was visible from my bathroom. The property allows access to the cenote from the main office for 150 pesos which gives anybody access to all the tents with no locks on them. When I got to my tent the tent itself was full of mold. I do understand that it is the end of the rainy season but it didn’t look or smell like the mold had been addressed…ever. I feel like I was going to be sick and the lights and fans only work at night so fanning the place out wasn’t an option. I immediately left the property and contacted Expedia saying that it wasn’t as advertised. Expedia contacted them and they didn’t respond for 3 days after that they were denying any kind of refund. Even though I had originally booked for 9 nights. I contacted them through Expedia as well and they still haven’t answer. I wish they would have responded to my initial
Email or message but clearly they don’t care about their guests. WHATEVER YOU DO PLEASE PLEASE DON’t BOOK THIS PLACE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
This is a very beautiful Glamping hut. Me and my girlfriend had it for 3 days but I wish I could have stayed longer. It is right beside the cenote (basically a big pond), it was beautiful. The dock beside the cenote was very comfortable, it had multiple hammocks to hang out in. There was also a kayak that you can borrow for free. The actual tent was very spacious and had two fans within it so you were never hot at night. The bed was a king size and fairly comfortable. The bathroom felt very private even though it is technically outside, you can only get access to by walking through your own tent. The water pressure was surprisingly good for being an eco hut. Did not have any issues with bugs or any creepy crawlies within the tent. The ad is a bit misleading by saying it is close to the beach though. In order to go to the beach you have to go through a beach club which is about a ten minute walk away. You would also have to pretend like your buying a drink or something in order to get access to the club. The breakfast included was actually a 1 min walk away at another Glamping lodge called Nativus. The parking was a bit tight but I was able to fit a small car there, anything bigger would be a bit of an issue. The wifi worked within the hut, but was a bit slow which is understandable. The check in process was fairly easy. The attendant understood my English well. I would recommend renting a bike and leaving it to use. It was about a 15-20 min walk to reach decent restaurants.
