Everything was amazing! It was the best of both worlds being able to walk in the Mayan jungle on property but also being right on the beach. Property is absolutely gorgeous, multiple pools overlooking the beach, great service. Jay ass super helpful during our stay!

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at Papaya Playa and the experience blew us away. The staff’s service was exceptional and they made us feel right at home. Specifically, I would like to mention Santos, who went above and beyond to make our stay special. The property is quiet and tranquil, and the party on Saturday was the best time I’ve ever had! 10/10 would recommend

We had a great stay at PPP! Super relaxing, great service, food, and location. We took a morning yoga class as well, which was very pleasant. All the staff were super kind and made our stay feel really special. We had a jungle casita with a rooftop pool. The rooftop pool was a great decision, I was in it every morning and night while we were there. We were nested slightly in the jungle, a perfect distance away from the beach. The water pressure in the open shower was so perfect. It is hard to describe how great the water pressure was. There is not a coffee maker in the room full disclosure. It didn’t matter during my trip because I wanted a cappuccino every morning anyway. I enjoyed the short jungle stroll to the on-site café before my morning splash. I really loved this trip, it was wonderful and I would easily book this room again.

Hotel is nice. Had a few issues waiting for room to be ready and also having to wait for 3 hours due to issues with the safe. Food was good. Drinks were expensive.

We had a lovely stay at PPP! Despite its reputation for being a party place, it was super peaceful during the week and a great place to recharge. The breakfast was lovely - special shoutout to the breakfast staff who gave especially awesome service! The recent storms clearly did a number on the resort, as there was lots of debris all over and many of the cabanas were under repair. The one drawback of this resort is that the restaurant prices are pretty unreasonable, so ordering a snack or drink on the beach quickly adds up to an astronomical bill. My advice is to go out for dinner in downtown Tulum, bring in your own food and drinks, and enjoy the beautiful beach and pools!

Absolutely horrendous customer service. We’ve been loyal guests for years, spent absurd amounts of money, and were improperly charged for a “late check out fee” despite being at desk at requested time, and they refused to provide explanation nor any receipt/documentation. High turnover rate with staff (everyone friendly has left) and we will never come back. Most unprofessional customer service and check-out experience. Still owed thousands in refunds for “up-charges” and no one there will do anything. Safe location but all other features that made PPP great in the past are now a distant memory. Will consider legal recourse.

With so many other amazing options in Tulum its hard to recommend this hotel based on our experience. Pros: - A very nice room with good amenities - Nice bell hop and beach wait staff Cons: - Really poor service from the front desk - We arrived early and were told that hotel check-in was at 3pm, at 3:30pm our room still was not ready with the excuse of "the hotel is completely booked" - They were going to show us a potential room upgrade and forgot when other guests showed up to check-in - The second day our room keys stopped working, when we got the keys working we found out that our room hadn't been cleaned by 4:30pm Given all the above you can find much better options for your money in Tulum
