Want to get hotel catfished then book here! I’m sure at one time this place was a 4star hotel, but that was prob 15+ yrs ago when they originally took the hotel photos. I paid for the master suite (which I did not get), the room door could be opened with any key and even a coin (trust me I have videos!) The beach and surrounding areas was heavily covered in trash and heavy seaweed. I understand not all hotels clean the seaweed but at least attempt to clean the trash and love the ocean smh. Don’t let them fool you when they say all the beaches are like that, they are NOT! The bed in the room was probably the best thing about the place, and the breakfast was a joke (good thing I don’t really eat breakfast). The staff was informative and mostly nice, with hints of sarcasm I didn’t appreciate. Long story short don’t stay at any of the hotels in the Tankah neighborhood, unless it’s the Cielo Maya.

The place was beautiful, simple and clean. The direct ocean view was breathtaking. The staff was great. The room was spacious and clean. It could definitely get an update with some minor things. The only thing to note is that to get there the road is pretty bad, it’s not the hotels fault but a heads up would be nice. The pool could be cleaner and the beach there and around was full of trash and it was heartbreaking.

I would say the hospitality of the staff was great- very friendly and helpful, excellent casual food and bar... It's an off the beat beautiful coastal area of Tulum - probably would rent a car next time for flexibility to get around..
