Everything about our stay at La Zebra was perfect! If you want a small hotel with every detail considered, where the staff are ALL amazing, kind, warm and so friendly then La Zebra is for you. A beautifully styled hotel, complete with every modern touch yet embracing Mexican art and culture, it is the kind of place where you can totally relax. The food and drinks were incredible, our particular favourite was the ceviche! The staff became more like old friends, nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed for 2 weeks and honestly wished we could have stayed longer! We would not hesitate to recommend this special place and cannot wait to return!!

We visited in July which was off season. When we arrived we were told that only the main restaurant was only. The beach isn’t really usable in this season because of the seaweed. The hotel was lovely but everything is very expensive in Tulum, food, drinks, getting around.

It’s a spectacular family friendly hotel in the heart of Tulum. Tulum doesn’t have big all inclusive resorts so the little extras at La Zebra make it special. A terrific restaurant over looking the water, a basic mini golf course on the roof kept my son entertained, a small pool to refresh in and multiple beach side bars with great waiter service made relaxing at the beach the best. Beautiful room with small plunge pool to unwind each afternoon. Finally in a quiet area but literally steps from Michelin restaurants, a special place that I highly recommend for couples and families.

We really loved La Zebra. The staff were amazing, restaurants very good too. Our room was comfortable, clean and well stocked with a view of the gulf. The pool was a disappointment being located on an upstairs level with few loungers, and sadly we were inundated with sargassum so swimming off the beach was disgusting.

I will say the room was lovely and the first receptionist to book me in was excellent. But it went downhill from there. The beach was inaccessible and that is why we were there. And there pool was on top of a building, difficult for me who has mobility issues. The pool was also in need of maintenance. We used it for our granddaughter but never saw anyone else use it. I was suppose to get a bottle of wine for my status on Expedia. I asked for it several times and never receive it. When we were leaving, I asked for it and the rude attitude front desk person objected until she said we had to wait 20 minutes to get it. The food prices were so high I felt I was being held hostage in having to eat at their restaurants. And the portions barely filled us up especially at breakfast. My daughter too had an issue of no air conditioning for a whole night and the administration handled the situation very poorly!

This hotel was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. Staff were amazing, the food was some of the best we’ve had in Mexico and the facilities/rooms were 10/10. We already can’t wait to come back!
