Lovely property… breakfast and dinner were good quality The only complaint is that the Expedia site says that all rooms are air conditioned but only half the building is. As we were in a heat wave in Ireland, we received a room which was sweltering even with windows open. For our second day they were able to move us to one of their air conditioned rooms which was far more comfortable… perhaps the website needs to be more accurate

Hotel itself is lovely , the room was clean but definitely aged . The only issue i really had was that the pump on the toliet is extremely loud. Staff were lovely and friendly and breakfast had a great choice and was nice.

Family friendly stay

Stayed with our 5 yo and 3 yo children. Had a great time and thought the hotel was wonderfully kid-friendly. The swimming pool was great, food was good and the location close to Rathwood was excellent. Overall we had a great stay.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean and lovely grounds. We had dinner at the restaurant where service was exceptional and food was great. Breakfast lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. We informed the hotel it was our wedding anniversary and they provided sweet treats in the room which was really thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful and immaculately clean, but it was the incredible staff who made my stay memorable. They were all wonderful, and Fi-fi at reception was particularly outstanding. I had made a mistake with my booking, and she went above and beyond to help me resolve it quickly and efficiently. Her kindness and professionalism were greatly appreciated and set the tone for the rest of my very enjoyable stay. My thanks to all.

Not special enough, lacking that personal touch!

Our room had milk glass windows, so we could not see anything and there was som kind of ventilation or air conditioning shaft humming for the better part of the night (kitchen?) Service at breakfast was inattentive, could not even order hot beverage until I had almost finished my meal. The breakfast buffet offered a decent range and was well set up, so that one did not have to wait but replenishment e.g. orange juice was slowish. On one occasion our room had not been done at all (despite us being away from 9am to 10pm. On most days nothing beyond towel replacement had been done in the bathroom, so no cleaning of surfaces, floors or the toilet. As for the carpet, it was hard to tell if it had been hoovered. The surroundings were nice, convenient car park with easy to park bays. Pleasant bar with good service. The restaurant served good dinner with nice and attentive waiting personell but the atmosphere of the room itself was very impersonal, cool and uninviting.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, and the staff went out of their way to help us. We were assigned a "family" room with an inredible view, even though we had requested a King. There was no problem in switching over - we understood that the girl at reception was giving us an upgrade with the view, but we preferred the larger bed. Our rate included breakfast and dinner. We had the same server (Erica) each night, and she was so fantastic.
