Comfortable accommodations with very cheery colors and a bit of a rustic feel. The spa district is easily walkable and this location was an excellent base. Plenty of parking as well. It is billed as a non-smoking hotel with free wifi but of course someone downstairs had some serious weed going for hours my first day, and I could not get the wifi to function at any point during my visit. However, I would stay here again. Excellent price, very friendly staff, and wonderful soaks to be had.

Room had three chairs -- two were metal, all straight-backed without cushions, and uncomfortable to sit on. Cramped bathroom -- knees hit the wall when on the toilet...

Happy to Find a Great Stay

I got the PAM apartment which is right on Main Street. The traffic noise didn't bother me at all. It was very comfortable. There is heat and air conditioning. It has a kitchen and bathroom and it's within walking distance of downtown Broadway shops and restaurants. I loved the outdoor shower on the patio. Would stay here again.

Needs better a/c

Pretty much everything in Truth or Consequences NM is quirky and the Pelican is no exception. The size of our room (Pink #8, 2nd floor) was great with separate sleeping area with TV and kitchenette area. The bathroom was tiny - had to sit sideways on the toilet! Biggest issue was that the window a/c unit was in the kitchenette area, and wasn't able to completely cool off the sleeping area, which is not ok when it's in the 90s and doesn't cool off overnight til 5am. A free mineral springs soak is included with each night's stay, which is lovely. It's first-come, no reservations, but it worked out fine for us. My husband and I really enjoyed the soak.

We absolutely LOVED the rooms we rented. We stayed in the Long Room and the mandarin. Both were fantastic, the only downside is my mother is allergic to cats and she had an allergic reaction once she played on the bed. I later found out they do allow cats in the rooms so that was a bummer for momma. Aside from that everything was AMAZING!

Stains all over the toilet seat, dead roach in the shower, crust on the bed sheets. Very quaint looking, but not very pleasant.
