Wow, this place is just lovely. We stayed in the lodge -- very clean, comfortable, and we just loved the historical setting and the vintage photos in the hallways, etc. Lake is beautiful and peaceful. Lovely stay overall.

Had an amazing view of the lake and easy access. Warning- bed is rock hard, cabin interior not as pictured- no microwave or mini fridge. Very easy to book and location can’t be beat. We would stay again and now we know what to bring

One must realize they're staying in an historical site. The views are amazing, the staff always friendly. If I had any issues,staff was willing to address as needed. After one nights stay, decided another was needed. Asked about availability in person, and was accommodated, even matched the price shown on Expedia. This is the third time I've stayed in one of the casitas, and won't be the last. Other times camping at adjacent Winding Road tent sites, staff would say hello, wave and even went to the marina store and brought ice for my cooler. To those who complain about lack of amenities, I'd say book elsewhere or appreciate a break from modernity. For me, the in-room coffee pot, restroom and AC/Heater were all I needed. Many thanks to Damsite staff and we'll wishes to the new owners.

The Damsite Historic District's 1940s cabin was charming, beautifully maintained, and exceptionally clean. The historic character was preserved well, and the view from the cabin was outstanding. Unfortunately, the air conditioning struggled to keep up with the summer heat. Even after running throughout the evening, the cabin never cooled below 80°F. While it was an extremely hot day outside, the indoor temperature made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-kept property with a great location and wonderful views. If the cooling issue is addressed, I would gladly stay here again.

The property had a quaint, rustic charm to it. The bed was not very comfortable and the door to enter. The room was incredibly difficult to work. The setting was fantastic, and everyone I encountered was very nice.

As a cultural resources manager, I was delighted to actually stay in a CCC cabin dating to the 1930s. The cabin was renovated and immaculately clean, the bed was so comfortable, and the views fabulous. As the evening settled in, I sat on the porch watching the colors of the lake and buttes change and dance before me. Well done.

Property Closed. Road to property closed. Road crew told me to leave. I drove around the road block and found office padlocked. almost no water in the lake. Construction crews tearing up the road. The site is Fraud and should be removed.
