Avoid. Room was small with bathroom way too big. Towels are tiny and bed too small, as is the TV. As for breakfast not much there at all. Forget brewed coffee, for your continental breakfast get your coffee sachet and add the hot water. There is a toaster with bread but make sure you are early to get a croissant. Found an orange but put it back when I found it was mouldy. Plates and cutlery hasn't been cleared from previous guests and they were still there when I left Staff not very helpful. There is parking so you can make a quick getaway.

The hotel is very tired, but the owners are trying to tidy it up and decorate. The facilities in the bedroom were poor, nowhere to hang clothes, curtains don't close tv didn't work. Having said that, it is only rated a 2 star and I will certainly stay again both for the quirkiness and the lovely staff.

Easy 30 minute walk to the train station. Lovely old building with comfortable rooms. The reception isnt manned until the evenings, we needed to drop our bags early and the breakfast chef was so helpful

Unfortunately we had to get there early as the contact number on the website is no longer use. Half the building was cold the pool was not open as being renovated the gym also not open or the sauna . The room was so small should have been a single . The 2 staff we saw was lovely and very kind . The place didn’t look ready for any guests . We ended up going home .

Very comfortable. This hotel is set in a very old house with great architecture, so is not modern at all in many ways. However the staff are friendly, the rooms quirky and comfortable, and it has a pool. Breakfast is good, set in a lovely room.

Beautiful old building, lovely interior straight out of an adventure novel. Good breakfast, pub for tea 10 minutes walk away. Only snag was the room felt hot for a northener, good job the window and skylight opened easily, a really good break had by all.

Pleasant staff, room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. Bathroom could do with a little updating and the lock on the window in my room was broken but overall it was very comfortable and well worth the money. I will definitely be staying again.

Nice stay

We felt very welcome when we checked in. The owner was very informative about the history of the building and showed us round. There is a swimming pool and gym. Said open 3pm till 8pm. We didn't use them. We were on a busy schedule.
