Top class hotel close to everything

Trondheim is a lovely city and the Clarion is a perfect place to stay - 10 minute walk from the Hurtigruten and 10 minutes to downtown. Beautiful breakfast and lovely room with views

Could do better for 4* Room service waste left in hallway for days. Misleading images about the presence of a swimming pool. Baking hot rooms. Anti-social vehicle noise all night long.

Nice hotel but disappointing experience

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, but unfortunately when we checked in we were charged again for a room that we’d already paid for. We were given a refund but the amount we received was less than what we paid (maybe because of currency exchange rates) so we ended up losing £10 due to an error by the hotel, which was very disappointing.

The rooms could use a bit of maintenance (floor scratched, bed board stuffing cracked) but everything else is top notch. The location is great (10 minutes from the train station), the breakfast options are incredible, the staff is very nice and helpful.

In unserem Zimmer ließ sich (a) das kleine Seitenfenster nicht richtig schließen und (b) die Temperatur der Lüftung nicht regulieren, so dass wir spätabends in einem von Straßenlärm des Rv 706 erfüllten Zimmer in einem kalten Luftzug saßen. Die freundliche Dame an der Rezeption hat uns dann ein anderes Zimmer gegeben, in dem das Lärmproblem nicht mehr auftrat (das Seitenfenster war fest geschlossen, ließ sich dafür allerdings von uns auch nicht mehr öffnen) und die Lüftung sich immerhin etwas wärmer stellen ließ. Allerdings ist die Lüftung ziemlich laut, weshalb wir sie nachts ganz abstellten (was allerdings nur geht, in dem man die Schlüsselkarte aus dem Hauptschalter zieht, d.h. man hat dann im ganzen Zimmer kein Licht mehr!). Weitere Ausstattungsmängel: Fön schaltete sich sehr schnell wegen Überhitzung ab und ließ sich erst nach mehreren Minuten Pause wieder einschalten. Im ganzen Raum keine Haken für Jacken und Mäntel. Aufgrund dieser technischen Mängel eigentlich nur 2 Sterne. Positiv: Hilfsbereite Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption, schlicht aber geschmackvoll gestaltetes Zimmer, auf der Hafenseite wunderbare Aussicht (auf der Gegenseite sieht man allerdings nur in den Hof), sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück, sehr gut ausgestattetes Gym (gehört allerdings nicht zum Hotel, was den Zugang umständlich macht: Man bekommt die Zugangskarte dafür an der Rezeption im Tausch gegen die Schlüsselkarte und muss dann draußen über den Hof laufen). Daher insgesamt 3 Sterne.

The Hotel has a convenient location if you want to visit the Nidaros Dome. Only abt 15 min walk from the Hotel. The breakfast was something else! Facilities like light systems and TV in our rooms did not work well or not at all. Slow action when it came to repair, but the straff was very seviceminded and flexible in helping out.

Uns hat das Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer mit Meerblick war großartig, eine riesige Fensterfront. Direkt vor dem Hotel machen die Kreuzfahrtschiffe fest. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer gebucht. Einzig der Check-in hatte uns nicht gut gefallen. Wir sind abends gegen 23 Uhr angereist und waren sehr müde. An der Rezeption mussten wir alle Ausweise, unsere Telefonnummer und Email Adresse angeben bzw.vorzeigen.Dies haben wir in keinem Hotel so erlebt. Überall musste nur ein Ausweis vorgelegt werden. Das hatte sich ziemlich hingezogen und wir wollten eigentlich nur noch ins Bett. Das Frühstück war sehr sehr gut, eine riesige Auswahl.

Highly recommend the breakfast addition to the room, it is incredibly cheap for the massive amount of options you get. Got a sandwich and coffee at a local coffee shop and it cost more than the massive buffet they provide.

Besökte Trondheim under en pågående värmebölja, och valde detta hotell för att det fanns luftkonditionering. Rummet var svalt och skönt hela vistelsen. Dock hördes det basljud utifrån, som visade sig komma från hotellets egen bar på nionde våningen (mitt rum låg på tredje våningen), men det upphörde när baren stängde. Läget i hamnen är lite ocentralt, men det är inte så långt att gå in till stan. Frukosten var väldigt god och hade stort utbud, men en väldigt stökig dukning av buffén. Saker som hörde ihop stod på helt olika bord, så man fick springa och leta efter allting. Även diskhantering i direkt anslutning till matsalen drog upp ljudvolymen ytterligare.

Hyvä sijainti rauhassa hälinästä, mutta silti kävelymatkan päässä keskustasta. Pysäköinti parkkihallissa myös näppärää, mutta kallista. Aamiainen näennäisesti mahtavan kattava, mutta tosiasiassa kaikki ei ole erityisen maukasta. Baristalle bonus-pisteet!
