As a country famous for its fjords Norway has over 1000 fjords, most of it sits on the southern part of the country. The word fjords itself refers to an ancient #viking terms related to the phrase "where you travel across" and the word "ferry". The ancient vikings used these fjords to learn how to navigate the water, and to conduct raids to their neighboring tribe and land. The land of the ancient vikings is a barren and cold one where it's hard for plants to grow and animals to live and the only precious commodity you can get from the land are timber woods and iron. So to surcice, the ancient vikings have to conduct these daring raids to faraway land to procure resource to survive their harsh home. It is savagery out of neccesity not out of choice.

The weather condition around these fjords can change rapidly which itself is fascinating to see. But because of it you better pack well to prepare for any weather condition if you're planning to do a fjord cruise tour. A raincoat can especially be a lifesaver at times :)
