The staff is so friendly and kind. We stay every year, and while the pool isn't open that is due to the Northern Michigan region being cold still. We recommend staying here.

The location is awesome, the exterior was cute and looked cared for, actual rooms could use some work and were a little rough. But pretty clean and very well appointed. Down side is pool closed at 8:30 when staff left for the day which also meant there was no one on site to provide assistance of any kind.

The room was clean, nice shower and hot water. The hot water did not work in the bathroom sink. The mattress had a dip on one side (kind of a hole), the door to the hall would pop open even when locked. We came back from an event and our room door was open. It also popped open early in the morning (luckily the chain was latched). Housekeeping staff was friendly, although we did not request services during our stay. Our particular room was a loft style, which required a long, narrow, steep set of stairs to access our room, which was difficult for my 88 yr. old mother to climb (I did not know they had rooms with stair access). This is a very nice motel, I would stay again, but would request not to have an upstairs room with a shared stairs and hall. If it had been warmer, I would have loved to use the beautiful pool!
