Sugar beach location was roughly 10-15 minutes from downtown. The beach on site, was ideal. Beach chairs need to be updated.. could be nicer. The balcony decks need cleaned. Hotel room was nice.. Breakfast delivered to room was nice in the morning, not having to go down to a lobby was a plus. Coffee machine in room could be updated.

I wish breakfast options were better. Also the hotel used to offer hot coffee in the lobby available to guests. This time, coffee was old and lukewarm. Beach shower was broken and not fixed during our 5 days stay. Otherwise the place is very clean and pleasant.

We’ve stayed here several times, which says something about the property. My one complaint was breakfast. Rather than the breakfast they used to provide, they now serve boxed food. We tried most of the choices, and none were great, some were awful. I’m sure there are a variety of reasons they use these boxed breakfasts and I suspect it’s a corporate decision, but don’t expect a fresh breakfast. Otherwise, it’s a good place to stay.

We had a pleasant stay at Sugar Beach Resort Hotel. The staff were very welcoming, and we enjoyed the pool area and the small arcade, which kept the kids entertained. While the breakfast box was adequate, we felt it could have been more substantial. We did notice that the rooms and the hotel itself are a bit dated, but the location right on the beach is truly outstanding and makes up for it.
