Run by locals and absolutely seamless experience. Although an older motel, it is perfect. Rooms are clean with easy access. Late check in was no problem and was able to extend my stay with ease! I will be checking Cascade first when I plan my next trip to Townsville! Loved that older style where your vehicle is parked right outside your door. Highly recommend this place if available.

Great motel to suit a family - we enjoyed our stay here but our main complaint is the noisy neighbour above our unit who was dragging furniture and making noise until 1am (multiple nights) so I’d suggest booking a first floor room to avoid this. It was too cold to use the pool but it looked nice and the reception and cleaning staff were all very friendly and helpful (we chose to only get our room made up once but asked for extra towels and toilet paper

Good location. Self contained with basics for cooking supplied. Separate bedroom. Friendly and helpful staff. It was just a shame that there wasn't a dedicated smoker's area well away from the rooms as those in the rooms next door were able to smoke right outside their rooms. Not pleasant for non-smokers.
