This place was so wonderful! An oasis in the middle of nowhere and perfect for exploring Capitol Reef National Park. The grounds are tranquil and peaceful. The store is super convenient and well stocked. Truly felt like home. Do know, there is only minimal utensils in the kitchen and no stove or oven, just a microwave. The only thing I would add is a toaster oven instead of a toaster, or an induction hot plate. Otherwise it was perfect!

In spite of reading many positive reviews of this place, I wondered how clean and nice a place called Chuckwagon Lodge and Store would be, Well, the answer is, very clean, very nice, great staff, and a well-equipped general store open well into the evening, with incredibly friendly staff. Great location. As an added bonus, during our two-night stay, we struck up conversations with two different groups of travelers, both times spending a half-hour or more exchanging pleasant experiences and ideas with them, This place just seems to draw friendly and sociable travelers,

We stayed in a 2-bedroom cabin with a kitchenette at Austin’s Chuckwagon Inn and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was convenient…only about 15 minutes from Capitol Reef National Park. The property had great amenities including an outdoor pool and hot tub, laundry facilities, a general store, bakery, and even a food truck on site. We especially appreciated the complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available in the store for guests staying on the property. Overall, it was a relaxing and convenient place to stay, and we would definitely recommend it to others visiting the area.
