Lovely accommodation overlooking a sea cove.
Delicious breakfast. The owner very helpful and welcoming. Great area for walks - very peaceful and relaxing. A lovely pub nearby serving delicious food.
Highly recommend this hidden treasure.
Sarah was an amazing hostess and provided the best service. Nothing was too much trouble, from tea and biscuits on arrival to coffee and hot croissants overlooking the beach this morning. It was just like holidaying with a good friend who leaves you to it, but at the same time gives the best advice about the local area. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The new accommodation, Seasong is a few doors down from Westcroft. It would be useful for Sarah to be able to contact her guests by telephone. Luckily we could ring her and quickly found it. Kingsand and the whole of the Rame peninsula is tourist and dog friendly, unspoilt and welcoming. I couldn't recommend this higher.

Great location near sea. Excellent breakfasts and comfortable room. Exceptionally pleasant host.
because of the age of the property the stairs were difficult to negotiate but the rooms were somewhat "quirky" and it was certainly unique. For future guests, it might be useful to make it known that there are dogs in residence. The proprietor was very caring and approachable.
My wife Karen and I had a fantastic stay at the very cozy guesthouse. Sarah is a great hostess. We enjoyed her delicious breakfast and she took good care of us. The guesthouse is situated in very nice surroundings in Kingsand on the beautiful Rame peninsula.

Sarah was friendly, the breakfast was good.
We stayed on the top floor the bedroom had no lock.
And it didn’t seem the front door could close properly to lock.
Such a beautiful and stunning location. We found the room clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Sarah was an amazing host who went above and beyond! We will definitely return
Superb, highly recommended.
Sarah is an excellent host who makes you feel immediately at home. The guest house is perfectly locate a few feet from the beach with great dining options within easy walking distance.
Great breakfast, great accommodation and excellent host what more could you ask for😃
We had a wonderful stay at Westcroft Guesthouse. Sarah is an amazing host and her two dogs are beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous and full of beautiful art, books and furniture. Sarah is so friendly and helpful. She made us a delicious cooked breakfast each morning, as well as pastries, fruit and yoghurt. The guesthouse overlooks the bay and the beach is a stones throw (very literally!) away, as is the little pub. It's all just delightful and I'd love to go back.
Wow what a little gem we have found, made even more special by sarah being an amazing host. Warm welcome on arrival and the breakfast is locally sourced which made it even more delicious. Nothing was to much trouble. Location was perfect for us, would definitely return xx
Thoroughly enjoyable stay. We were upgraded on arrival to stay in our own holiday cottage attached to the guesthouse. It was very clean and comfortable with all usual conveniences. Beautiful new bathroom with new walk-in shower and underfloor heating. Cosy lounge with open fire and bespoke fitted kitchen. Our welcoming host Sarah still provided us with an ample and sumptuous tasty breakfast each day.
Our little dog was also made very welcome by Sarah and her own 2 dogs. The cottage was just a few yards from the beach and excellent local pubs. All in all we can’t recommend Westcroft Guesthouse highly enough. We will definitely be returning there soon.
I can't review for Westcroft as although I booked this property this isn't where we stayed.
I booked the Superior Double Four-Poster Ensuite Room at Westcroft Guesthouse for a partner's milestone birthday. Upon arrival, we found a note on the front door stating Westcroft had "relocated." We were moved to an alternate building further up the street called Sea Sound with no prior notice.
While the host was pleasant and the beach view was beautiful - indeed both Kingsand and Cawsand are beautiful - the accommodation was a severe downgrade in privacy, layout, and amenities. We lost the private ensuite bathroom we paid for and had to use a ground-floor bathroom located two flights of stairs down. This bathroom window overlooked the garden and had no blinds. The bedroom itself had tools left on the floor and lacked the basic amenities listed: no hairdryer, no Wi-Fi, and no tea-making facilities. Only one robe was provided initially, which was tiny with a threadbare hole in the front (though the host did provide a second one when asked).
The actual layout is fundamentally misrepresented. The physical Westcroft Guesthouse building is currently empty and up for sale. Anyone booking this listing will be moved to a different property. Expedia formally investigated this and issued us a partial refund. I strongly recommend messaging the host prior to booking to guarantee you will actually get the Westcroft building and amenities you are paying for.
This is truly a gem! If you love being surrounded by books and art, want to eat fantastic food cooked by the most welcoming of hosts and have views of the sea, then this is your perfect place. Outside, the walks are wonderful, the sea beautiful and the bars and restaurants friendly. We will definitely be back.
Kingsand is the perfect Cornish village and Westcroft the perfect b and b. Charismatic and attentive landlady. Room, lounge and dining room all beautifully and artistically arranged. Situated directly opposite harbour wall and beach and near pubs and a few shops. Excellent walking on coast path and inland. The local bus route offers stunning views.
A lovely home from home run by Sarah. We were made to feel like long term friends. Our room had the comfiest bed and use of a sitting room looking out across the bay perfect for chilling out after a busy day. The house is quirky and full of fabulous furniture and to top it off Sarah provides one of the best hotel breakfasts and nothing was too much trouble. We will be visiting again x
Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding in Polawn Fort.Sarah was so helpful in booking us a taxi to the venue and booked us a table at the nearby pub for dinner on our first night.Parking is in a municipal car park a 2 minute walk away and was £9 for 48 hours.Sarah does an incredible breakfast which sets you up for the day.The Westcroft is right on the sea front and the views are amazing.Had a very enjoyable 2 days.
Sarah was the best host. She's very relaxed and worked breakfast around my plans, for each day. She's a brilliant cook and very thoughtful. Nothing is too much for her to make sure your stay is comfortable, unique and enjoyable. I felt welcomed, right from the start. Cannot fault my stay, in any way. I shall look forward to returning, sometime in the future.
Sarah is the perfect host, from her contact prior to arriving to the moment we had to leave - friendly, accommodating of requests where she can be and will sort bookings for you if needed (she knows everybody in kingsand and Cawsand). Breakfast was amazing with croissants, fruit, hot organically sourced food sat in the most amazing dining room with a direct view to the sea and promenade outside.
The property is a feast for the eyes - period features everywhere with artwork, comfortable chairs, period features and our room on the 2nd floor had an amazingly comfortable bed and an exceptional bathroom.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a weekend in the en-suite loft room. We would recommend the guesthouse for the following reasons:
- Sarah provided us with tips about the local area such as restaurants and parking.
- Quiet and safe, we could hear the waves from the room.
- Wonderful cooked breakfast each morning.
- Beautiful views from our bedroom.
Areas to be improved:
- Lots of cobwebs and large spiders (but perhaps this is to be expected from a loft).
- The bed, although comfortable overall, sags in the middle and could do with being updated.
Overall, we would highly recommend staying at the guesthouse as it was a comfortable, easy going stay in a lovely sea front location and Sarah was very hospitable.

We booked this accommodation as the reviews were very positive!
But just a few days prior to our holiday we saw a review that said this property was sold and presently empty!
Contacted the owner email/phone, no response. Contacted Expedia, finally got through to talk to a representative..but just said they would contact us 24hrs prior if the booking was cancelled!
The owner finally rang us the day before our trip and confirmed our booking ..but not at the accommodation we originally booked!
On arrival at a nearby car park we rang the owner 4 times but she didn’t answer !
We got the address from the local public house and made our way there.
The room was pleasant very boutique and the bathroom was beautiful and very clean. But it was not what we booked a room with a sea view !
This advertised property should be taken off Expedia as it is closed ! Apparently the owner has had problems with Expedia and another review said they had contacted them too !
Sarah was wonderful and so helpful. She’d moved a few weeks previously to a smaller property. Still a 1700s build with a sea view. Traditionally furnished but sensitively updated. So, not what we thought we’d booked, but we were very happy. Our room overlooked a cute courtyard and had garden picked flowers in cute vases in the room and in the excellent en-suite.
It was a restful place made so by Sarah and her calm wonderful dogs. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it all, especially the delicious breakfasts.
