I like that they still provide towels, and I really appreciate having soap in the room. The breakfast is also amazing. I hope they continue offering these complimentary amenities. The location is great. However, you may see some unhoused individuals in the area. They generally seem to be minding their own business, but if you're not used to that environment, it might feel a little uncomfortable at first. Nothing happened to me during my stay, though.

I stayed in the single room which was very clean and the AC until worked very well. The bed was a bit low and the mattress sagged. It was fine for a few days but just a warning for those with back issues. The staff was very friendly and helpful when answering questions about the area.

Very good and affordable hostel, which is very rare in Toronto. There are plenty of food options in Kensington Market (and a T&T Market nearby) and is one 20-minute bus ride away from Dundas/TMU/Eaton Centre where most tourist things are. Of note, the lockers in the rooms are not big enough to store a luggage, they're high school lockers for storing backpacks, valuables and jackets. My roommates and I just left our luggages on the floor. The rooms were very quiet despite the outdoor events happening in Kensington Market. The kitchen and dining areas are spacious. There are two fridges, Breakfast consists of plain cereal, bagels (with butter and condiments), milk (dairy and non-dairy), apples, oranges, bananas, tea and coffee served at 8AM. They able to accomodate my bottom bunk request.

The hostel is well-located, making it easy to walk around the city. However, be aware that there are many homeless people and individuals using substances nearby. We stayed over the weekend, and the hostel is situated on a street with bars that can get noisy. The hostel staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is excellent, and the private room we stayed in was very comfortable.

Staff were friendly and nice. We stayed in a private room towards the back and we couldn’t hear street noise. Easy to hear doors closing and bathrooms from the room. Lots of food at breakfast. Eating area gets busy. Very eclectic area which we were fine with but if you are looking for fancy and don’t love all walks of life-this might not be the area for you. We easily walked downtown but transit is very close. Overall our stay was good, no complaints.
