Front desk staff was very nice and welcoming, helped us find overnight parking at about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Bedrooms were a place to sleep for the night, tv didn’t work but we were out anyways. If you’re in toronto for a night or two and arent boujee this place works just fine. Room was clean, sheets were clean, hotel was quiet at night. An extra plug or two by the bed would be nice.

Was all clean and tidy and looked recently renovated. However we were put in a suite over the road on lower ground floor. Was very noisy when trams pass by throughout the night. Also area to the west was a meeting spot for drug addicts ( about 500m away) although this is an area problem rather than the accommodation itself. Trans stop right outside which is a bonus if you can sleep through them passing.

I needed a place to stay last minute in Toronto and the Royal Oak Inn was a good price in the right area. I arrived late in the evening having made a reservation 1.5 hours prior and had no issues checking in. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite, welcoming, and helpful. Check in was very quick, and he had great food suggestions close-by (East Coast Donair was the right choice). No elevators, but I only had a small bag with me so no problems being on the second floor. My room was relatively clean-not perfect but nothing I was concerned about. The bed was comfortable and I was able to get a great sleep. Check-out was 11am and It was as easy as check-in. The staff were definitely the most memorable for me. Both people I interacted with were very nice.

Staff was very helpful upon arrival and showed us to our rooms. The place was clean and well maintained. Only complaint is the bathroom was way too small and water got everywhere on the floor from the sink for being so small. Otherwise, my stay was quite pleasant for 1 night.

Across from a homeless shelter. Not a safe area for a family. Some rooms are in a completely different apartment. Our exterior door did not lock and was directly across from many vagabonds. Shower was dirty, room was a basement apartment, shook every 5 minutes with the street car going by. One of 2 mattresses were worn out and wirery. Bathroom not cleaned, floor was filthy and made our white socks black in seconds

Unfortunately the only positive was the check in staff was very friendly and assuring the area was safe and the bed was comfortable. We were grateful when we arrived as the walk there was very uncomfortable (drugs/homeless). The hotel and room is very old and run down, very minimal. Spend the extra couple hundred to be closer to the main DT attractions.

Somewhat of a sketchy area of town during the day but at night, it’s fine, perfectly safe no noisy people or street people or anything. Hotel is in an older building but rooms are very clean good linens nice beds clean hallways. It was released expensive place in town and was better than most motel sixes or whatever you’ll see in this price range usually

The staff was super cheerful and polite . Thought they were great. I didnt have a great budget and it was last minute. The room had ac tv and a good bed. Pcs of the mwf were coming up. The bathroom toilet was a super snug fit to the door. And while I am positive it was clean, the discoloured grout in the shower was offputting. In a pinch it was ok. The staff I were the best Ive met at hotels
