Location was great and with in walking distance so we didn’t have to drive . Staff was very helpful . The chef (Richard )in the cafe was great . The woman who helped me with parking ( may have been the manager )was also awesome because parking was expensive if you payed by the hour …

The staff only communicated via email or text which was impersonal. There was no one at the front desk. The rooming house was under construction and the workers were there during the evening hours. The carpet in my room was worn. The room faced an alley which had trash in it. There was a charge for cleaning the room or take the trash out. There were bugs in the room, so I did not eat in the room. No live television--only subscription services (Amazon, Netflix, etc. ). No closet. The location is good to a lot of activities.

Loved my stay here. After reading some reviews, I was hesitant in booking but I am glad I did. This is a hidden gem in the heart of Toronto . Busy tourist street. I did some biking by just walking down the street to rent the bikes. Then I tried the restaurant Downstairs the hotel, for the price of the food it was really good and tasty. Staff were always smiling and helpful . The suite itself was clean and I loved the fact that I had a robe . Overall awesome experience and I will be back .

This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed - especially for the nightly fee. There was hair in the sheets, the walls were paper thin and could hear everything, the shower was clogged so water just pooled up. The entry to the hotel looked like it was a closet with slapped together paint splotches -- to get into the hotel it felt very scary and uncertain with locked gates and a small "ally" with only a tiny sign even indicating it was a hotel. I did not feel comfortable at this hotel in the slightest.

The worst hotel I’ve ever been and I’m from NYC. Stay here you if you don’t like yourself. Lights stopped working, it smelled like mold and mildew and worst of all is if you needed assistance staff was nowhere to be found and when you found them they were not helpful. I’d rather stay on a park bench than this hotel ever again.

The first night we had tons of problems for example the window wouldn’t open, room was under construction, bathroom door was not closing completely and was REALLY squeaky, no air conditioning, and there was no hot water. Maintenance man said he couldn’t do anything about it. Next day they changed our room but the whole stay the WiFi was REALLY weak and bad
