Great experience if you want to be near main downtown areas. The room had a smell but was cleaned and the staff helped me with my lost bag and provided me laundry facilities.

Convenient location and friendly staff. The room was very basic (this is designed as student accommodation for most of the year) and rather worn, but it was good enough for a one night stop before continuing my journey home. Clean bathroom with essentials.

Chestnut Residence is a wonderful choice for travellers. It's located at the heart of Downtown Toronto, with plenty of things to do that are accesible both on foot and by public transportation. The complimentary breakfast is varied, with vegetarian and vegan options available. The rooms are good, but the only thing that was inconvenient was the lack of enough outlets, specifically no outlets near the beds or work stations. Other than that, which was small potatoes, I highly recommend staying here.
