Fantastic restaurant at the Alder! One of the best meals we have ever had. Staff were so helpful! Very clean hotel. Great location downtown. The food market across the street was awesome. Gym could have been a bit better stocked, however, I realize they only have limited space in their gym so that makes it tricky. Overall, great stay! Would come back for sure!

We loved everything about this hotel! It was modern and I absolutely loved the big windows! The staff were very kind and genuine in their interactions with us. The rooftop was super cool, particularly with the great cocktails and the amazing skyline! And lovely breakfast! The location was also perfect. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

The room was clean and stylish. We had an incredible view of the park and city. I loved how central this hotel was to everything. Would stay there again! Small con: the shower curtain was about 3 inches too short causing water to get all over the bathroom floor.

A mix of brutalist (i.e.: concreate) architecture with lacquered plywood (i.e.: like summer camp) provides a unique experience. Very friendly and helpful staff, popular coffee and bar on the ground floor and a good restaurant in the lower level. Location is very good being on the west wide of downtown but easily walkable to most locales (The Well, Queen Street, etc...). Only downside is the Friday and Saturday night clubbing and related loud music that goes on, both on the streets and within the hotel itself.

Everything about the hotel is great, with the exception of the room. I can see they are attempting to make the rooms trendy and hipster but I feel there is too much use of raw plywood and cheap furnishing that makes it feel cheap and like a hostel. Again, the hotel is quite nice in every other way

It’s too expensive for what it is. It’s very basic and no amenities, upstairs lounge is closed and no one knows why. They tried to charge an amenity fee at the end of my one night stay with no amenities available. There is no pool or anything, small gym in basement. Not sure what’s happening there. Staff is just ok. I do love the architecture in the lounge. It’s stunning, just go for food or a drink. Stay somewhere else.

The Ace Hotel is a treat! The decor is thoughtful and relaxing. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Although we didn't have our dog, it is also pet friendly without a pet fee! It is conveniently located, walkable to lots of amenities.
