Our second stay though to be honest we felt it lacked atmosphere this time round (possibly down to it being v quiet midweek) Staff were friendly & v helpful though the hotel could benefit from a manned reception area or at least clearer instructions on arrival. Again no one visible on departure ?

Gorgeous rooms and delicious food

A great stay right from the start the manager and staff were helpful and friendly. I was particularly touched when the chef made an off menu option for my autistic son as he was unable to manage any of the listed items. The rooms were beautifully set out and the bed was so comfortable. I usually struggle to sleep away from home but not here. I also loved the toiletries were Bramley (my fave) it added a touch of luxury to an already luxurious stay. The food in the restaurant was top notch and I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and manager who all went out of their way to ensure a warm welcome and comfortable stay.

Would highly recommend staying here all the staff so helpful, the room excellent decoration.Breakfast superb had to have breakfast on second morning as well. Will most certainly be coming back

The best beds ever !!!

THE most comfortable beds and bed linen i have ever come across whilst working away which i do regularly. Lovely surounding areas. The food and service was excellent. Will definitely stay again on my next business trip down south.

Cosy Penshurst hotel.

A fantastic 2 night stay in Penshurst. Hotel is really cosy and tastefully decorated. Open fires in bar area. We ate in the restaurant both breakfast and dinner and both were excellent. Great base for touring the local area which had a lot to offer.

This spectacular Inn is a genuine English treasure. The staff were a delight - like staying with family friends. First class service. The food was exquisite. The room was perfect and quaint. Must stay!!

A lovely countryside stay. The pub is beautiful, a great mix of an old pub with modern design. Everything feels lovely and clean. Huge beds! I would say though, we stayed on a Sunday and the road out the front on the Monday morning was quite noisy (rush hour, bin men and gas refill right outside the window of our room). I doubt the rooms were full with it being a Sunday, so it would have been good if they put us out the back. If you can, request a room at the back of the building!

Great Place to Stay

Fantastic place to stay, breath of fresh air. Superb room with high quality decor and fittings and really nice little touches like cookies in the room with fresh milk in the fridge. Great food in the restaurant served by pleasant staff, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Would love to have tried the breakfast but unfortunately needed to leave early, one thing I think would make this gem better is to offer an early breakfast option as this would have been a big bonus for me, however, this is a lovely place to stay and I will definitely be returning.

Just a quick 2 night break for our anniversary. Staff were lovely but food was a let down for both evenings. Room petty basic with no A/C so hot & stuffy. Asked for a fan but not available. Web site pictures are great for sales but let down in reality.
