the whole place was so cute and cozy. the room was awesome. beds were a little springy but the luxurious fluffy comforter they had on top took all our troubles away. bathrooms were great and so spacious. the breakfast included was very very delicious. awesome location too. very quiet but still convenient !

UnFortunately, we unable to attend breakfast due to our schedule but a takeout option or earlier time frame would’ve been nice however they did provide scones if you were unable to attend breakfast. House was very quiet and clean. Loved the treats provided at night. Overall great stay.

This was a great b&b and the breakfast was nice, plus the location was great too. Everything was very clean and there were lots of beautiful details. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very pretty and had all the conveniences.

Get thrown back into the the 1800’s luxury with four post beds with plush thick mattresses and stunning bed coverings. Fireplaces everywhere with mood soothing original wood trims, floors and a staircase that is instagram worthy! An old fashioned game room that just calls for a glass of bourbon while you play some poker sitting in your black plush leather chairs. Breakfast at The Mathis House was amazing. Waitresses wearing fascinators and a smile! Great food and you must see the Parasol room!! Stroll through the mansion and truly immerse yourself into classic old fashioned opulence! 5 star experience!

I absolutely loved this place. It was a gorgeous overall. The staff was so kind and super helpful. It had great amenities, including a gym pass. Only a 20-minute drive to Seaside's boardwalk. The rooms were beautiful. I would come back any day.

From the moment I arrived, I was already impressed and then I walked inside and it blew me away. Melissa the Caretaker of the house was very friendly and helpful from the beginning. The house had 2 full baths- I oversized tub and 1 w/ a very spacious shower. There were plants throughout the house adding to the already positive vibe and we were greeted with special pastries and given free reign of the kitchen. The gourmet breakfasts at the sister house- The Matthis house were new and freshly prepared with a different dish every morning. The staff there was also very friendly and accommodating. Overall it was an awesome experience and I plan on returning again.

The property was lovely and quiet. There was lots of public space with even a game room. Our room was huge although the wall TV was positioned so that it was not easily seen from the beds which was odd. The parking was on-site and adequate. Breakfast is served at another property which is a few blocks down the street - not the most convenient, but OK. There is only one time for breakfast - 9:00 am which was late for us and if you are staying there for any reason that requires a specific schedule, this could be a problem. The main issue we had was they said that check-in was only from 3-5pm and late night check-in couldn't be accommodated which didn't work for us. After a significant amount of back forth, they agreed to self-check-in which was very easy. Since staff aren't physically at the property, self-check-in should be offered up front. However, I wasn't told the address of the breakfast property and I didn't discover that they offer on-site coffee until the end of my stay. Also, on the last day they put a property info sheet in my room. So basic coordination/communication could improve but the property is comfortable and charming and the breakfast was tasty. Please note that this property has shared baths.

The room and bed were lovely and very comfortable. Any extras asked for were available. Use of a kitchen with keurag, refrigerator and microwave available. Sunroom was comfortable with a large tv, game room, dining room, and eloquent living room. Bathrooms were nice, modern but with old fashioned touches, soft towels, toiletries and even robes.
