A beautiful historic property converted into a hotel. The location was great and I enjoyed being next to the water and having a beautiful view on the mountain and castle. The spa with it pool was very relaxing.

One of my favorite hotels - I stayed here last year for 2 nights when I was walking the Camino from Lisbon to Santiago de Compostela. Back again this year to celebrate my Camino Francés completion together with my daughter and her husband. It was also their 2nd anniversary so a nice celebration here. The breakfast and bar were terrific and we enjoyed the spa also. My only comments would be the steam room needs to be hotter and the indoor pool could be warmer! The hotel is immaculate, clean and modern. Would stay again!

Villa Gale Tomar has updated a gorgeous historic location along the Nabao River while still honoring it's historic charm. We booked a room with a balcony facing the outside pool and river, and were more than pleased with our accommodations. The hotel has ample parking in the prettiest parking lot I have ever used, only 1 block across the river to the downtown main street, and is full of elegant charm!

Everything about our stay was excellent; the staff, the hotel, the parking and the location. The staff in particular were very friendly and helpful. Will be back.

Beautiful property but hate the carpets in the rooms just doesn't feel as clean. The parking was full but we had alternate parkimg in the surrounding area. Front desk staff were very nice but breakfast staff were a bit put off. Overall I think I expected a bit better. location was great though.

Could have been good, but not quite

In generel, nice staff. Our room however had linning on the bed that was soaking wet, not damp.. wet. Reception promised to send someone, but noone came. We dried the sheets ourselves instead. Also be aware that the hotel is popular with families with small children, making the pool area crowded, and the noise level in the restaurant unbearable. Children sneezing in the buffet, and drumming loudly on the table is not a favorite of ours anymore. We simply expected, a more calm place.
