“We were in an annex, not in the main hotel. The room was clean, but the space was very small with the 'bedroom' on a mezzanine floor. The roof sloped so much it was difficult not to crack your head on the ceiling. The bed was a small double. The towels were old and must have been washed using conditioner as they did not dry you after a shower. There was a beer festival on the weekend we stayed and the volume of the music outside was exceptionally loud and even inside the annex with the door and...

“Staff were friendly on arrival and checked in with no issues. The room was perfect for our needs and clean upon arrival. The mattress was a little hard for my liking. Didn’t have breakfast due to the limited options and timings. Plenty of nice places to eat in the high street.”

“There is no restraunt at this pub even though there is a nice picture of the dining area. Had the attic room and kept awake all night by birds in the loft.”

“A very cute place to stay in a lovely market town. Parking nearby (free on Sundays and overnight). Access to the rooms, due to the nature of the historic building, is not the easiest (uneven floors, narrow corridors and stairs). The room was absolutely lovely though; the bed was comfortable with quality bedlinen and pillows. The breakfast buffet was welcome - a small table and chair would have been welcome. “We stayed the night before our son's wedding. We booked two rooms. Both had a lot of mosquitoes. The other room also had some sort of bugs which inflicted nasty bites. The day after I called the pub to let them know they had an issue. I was told a manager would call me back. Four days later I have heard nothing. Very unimpressed. Will never stay again.”
