The room was small for two ppl, but very clean, and every square foot of space was nicely organized and useful. The shower was wonderful. Loved the welcome tea at check in and then the ice cream in the room.

This hotel was very welcoming and so clean (it just opened at the time of this review). Upon check-in we were greeted by very friendly staff and were offered tea and coffee while checking in. The room was very clean and nice. Only concern was there was no iron or steamer in the room, but I imagine you can ask the hotel to provide one at check-in. Otherwise I would highly recommend! Location is right across from Ebisu station which is one stop away from Shibuya (7 min train ride).

I’ve been to Japan 5 times and stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the most expensive and smallest room I’ve had. My friend and I booked a Superior Queen (we couldn’t afford a twin) and were disappointed. While the Shibuya location—right across from the station—is excellent, it feels like the cost went into aesthetics rather than practicality. The room has nice fixtures, a large Sony TV, a great mattress, and excellent pillows (though we couldn't get extra pillows), but it’s poorly designed for travelers. There are no proper hooks or racks for towels or clothes, and when we asked for a luggage rack, they sent someone to our room to tell us to store our suitcases under the bed. The shower had great pressure but a fully transparent door, making it impossible to use other bathroom facilities privately. Lighting was also too dim for tasks like makeup, and there was no portable mirror. Amenities were minimal: cups and a kettle were provided, but no tea or coffee unless requested—and even then, not included. Cleaning costs extra (though towels can be refreshed), which feels unreasonable at this price. The biggest issue was service. Staff were often unresponsive or overwhelmed (one time they were arguing in Japanese for about 10 minutes before acknowledging us, and we were the only customers), and most requests for basic amenities were denied. The only positive service experience was during checkout, when luggage storage was handled kindly.

I booked this property for my first trip to Tokyo. My family and I had an amazing stay at Tokyu Stay Shibuya Ebisu! The property is beautiful, and the Ebisu train station is only a two minute walk away. This is great since it is a part of the Yamanote line. There is an alley around the corner containing so many restaurants, bars, and even a FamilyMart. We arrived early morning the first day, and the staff were more than willing to store our luggage until it was time to check-in. When we did check-in, they were kind enough to already have our luggage waiting for us in our room. Our room came with a washer/dryer, dining area and kitchenette. They provide pajamas and slippers. They do provide laundry detergent, but I found that it might be easier to buy some laundry materials at the general store next door. The shower room was adorned with Refa products (if you know, you know.) In the lobby, there is an amenities area that is free for the guests to grab. They even left complimentary vanilla ice cream in our refrigerator that could be paired with their local beer if you were to take it down to the bar for free. The kitchenette in the room was so handy because my family and I would often grab snacks from the nearby convenience stores. I would definitely stay here again. My family was super happy with booking with Tokyu Stay.
