Rooms are on the smaller side (very common in Tokyo), but it was perfect and has everything you need! Situated close to the key areas in Shinjuku, making it extremely convenient. Had a lovely rooftop bar, friendly staff, and housekeeping daily was a nice treat to come back to after our busy days. Recommend!

As our first stop in Japan, this was pretty good. It was lively fun easy to walk. I would say not for families.

Staff were wonderful and so nice. The room was clean and had a great view. This was my first trip to Japan and the hotel could not have been in a better spot. Shinjuku Sanchome station and higashi shinjuku station were both within a few minutes walking distance. 10/10 would stay here again.

The Granbell is a convenient Tokyo hotel to start out in Japan after arrival from overseas. It has a cafe for a quick breakfast and a roof terrace for a small dinner with a nice view. Shinjuku is busy walkable place with many restaurants, shops and a big railway/subway station close by from where one conveniently can reach every corner of Tokyo.

Very clean, helpful staff, great location off the beaten path of all the foot traffic(4 min walk to golden gai, 10 min walk to main area), and extremely safe. It’s nestled in a quieter area with a bunch of other hotels

We loved the hotel and it’s sitting area outside. The rooftop bar was definitely a plus. Close to everything, that means bus and train stations. Tokyo is a big city, getting acquainted with the transport system is key.

Unfortunately, the room we were given smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. We found a bunch of stuff under the bed including beer cans. The bed and pillows were also extremely stiff so it was hard to get a good nights rest.

12 minute walk from Shinjuku station. If you dont mind staying in the red-light district this might be a good choice. Just be aware that there are rats everywhere especially at night. Especially along the walk way to the the entrance of the hotel and in the seating are outside the cafe.
