I recently stayed at Quintessa Hotel Tokyo Haneda Comic & Books, and while the price was definitely on the cheaper side, the overall experience reflected that—and not in a good way.
The room conditions were disappointing from the moment I walked in. The carpets were stained, the walls were chipped, and everything felt noticeably worn down. Unfortunately, the hygiene issues were even more concerning. I found a dead roach on the duvet, and both the duvet and sheets had mysterious stains on them. It immediately made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned before my arrival.
Even more troubling, I noticed black mold growing on the walls, which is not only unsightly but a genuine health hazard. This was the point where I realized the hotel’s low price comes with serious compromises.
If you're choosing this place solely for the budget-friendly rate, just be aware: you really do get what you pay for. The concept of a comic-themed stay is fun, but the maintenance and cleanliness issues overshadowed everything else during my visit.
