An excellent hotel in Gotanda, near to Shinagawa. We stayed there because of proximity to Haneda airport (about 25 minutes by public transport and 20 minutes by taxi), but were pleased to discover that the Shinagawa / Gotanda area is also quite nice, including a lot of interesting restaurants. The hotel has an excellent public bath that is free for use by guests, including indoor and outdoor baths. While in Gotanda, we visited the reasonably nearby and very impressive Zojo-ji, the founding temple of the Jodo sect of Buddhism and home temple of Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Our stay at the Mitsu garden hotel and Gontanda was exceptional!!! This hotel was very accommodating. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very kind. Having a spa in the hotel was amazing. The breakfast was also great. I would definitely book with this hotel again.

Beautiful hotel and it was a plus that a onsen was included. The room was large and had enough space for two people and 4 suitcases. I really enjoyed my stay. Great location just a few minutes walk to Gotanda station and the JR Yamanote line. Room was super clean, comfortable and quiet. Took advantage of the public bath to wind down at the end of the day - it was surprisingly always empty.
