Really good pricepoint and we liked having Asakusa station within walking distance. Really friendly staff. Calmer area I would say. Tip: There is a rentable gym in the building next door, which was a huge plus for me.

I traveled alone and the hotel was a good combination of price and location. If I had to do it over again, I would pick a place a *bit* closer to the subway station (Asakusa) but that was an oversight on my part -- I should've done a bit more research. They even offered pajamas when I arrived, which I thought was a nice touch. Before I arrived, they reached out, explaining that they have a "sister" hotel that has a similar name but different location so be sure to note that it's Hotel Amanek *Asakursa Sakurabashi*

Pros: superb Asakusa location, city bus 42 stops outside doors! Senso-ji temple and sumida riverwalk during Sakura were perfect! Staff very friendly and attentive. Liked the lounge area upstairs but balcony not open which would have been nice to enjoy. Cons: smallest bathroom yet (like a camper size), no view or proper ventilation (window did open up a crack and room had fan system no a/c), buffet breakfast ok but not great as hot beverage machine usually broken down. 2 laundry machines for whole building is not enough and they’re not free to use. No public bath or fitness facilities.
