Hoshinoya staff and the propoerty dynamic are settled to diminish costs and not to serve the clients as it's supposed a high rating hotel. It's my second stay in Hoshinoya, I had previously had a poor experience at Hoshinoya Okinawa and unfortunately again at Tokyo's one. There're better options in Tokyo that would suit most experienced traveler's more!

Our stay at Hoshinoya Tokyo was absolutely stellar. The staff was warm, welcoming and extremely accommodating. The space is beautifully and thoughtfully designed- a blend of transitional ryokan with modern comforts. The Onsen experience was wonderful and restorative, and we had a really restful sleep in the comfortable bed. Strong recommend, and hope to return again.

Highly recommend. The staff is superb, the room was well taken care of and very comfortable. The onsen is incredible. My wife and i stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We did in-room breakfast which was delicious, we also enjoyed one night of their dinning experience in the basment. The proximity to the train station is very convenient as well! The service is way over the top and the traditional atmosphere is very inviting and serene. Rooms are spacious by all standards and the Onsen (being in the middle of Tokyo) is just amazing, elegant and yet traditional.

This was a remarkable experience! From the moment you are greeted at the door of the hotel, you leave the hustle and bustle of Tokyo behind and you are immersed in an authentic ryokan experience. The private onsen on the top floor of the building really sets this hotel apart from other luxury hotels in Tokyo. The quality of the staff was excellent throughout, and although this hotel is in the main business district it is right next to the Otemachi metro station and about 15 min walk to the main Tokyo station so the transport links are excellent.
