By day it's just another narrow alleyway common in Tokyo, but at night the street turns into a mini nightlife area for the salarymen of Tokyo. With numerous tiny #bar lining up, the nickname comes from the fact in the past so many drunk salarymen doing their "bussiness" there because there's no toilet anywhere in this alleyway. Today, regulation has been set in the area so it is a lot cleaner than before. The alleyway is very narrow and can only fit at maximum 2 people at a time so be mindful of your surrounding when visiting especially when there's many drunk people walking by from the bars. The bars are also very tiny and can only fit less than 10 people at a time. If you are not claustrophobic give them a try, it's a special experience on its own :)

My 5th time staying here and never have any issues. Rooms are comfortable for a relaxed nights sleep after a big day out walking. Great spot right above train station, konbini, cafe, restaurants and a McDonald’s across the road.

The staff was very nice, easy check-in process. There is coin-op laundry on two of the floors. You can get the front desk to give you change for bills. Never had an issue with finding an open machine. They don't dry super well, but that is sort of expected. Would recommend putting in small loads. There is a Tully's downstairs, which we didn't go to but is a nice convenience. The subway entrance is right next door which was appreciated. The mini fridge was nice to have and location was close to points of interest. The elevator from the ground floor to the hotel lobby was broken so somewhat inconvenient. The room for four people is a bit small, but I chalk that up to Japanese hotel rooms. The hotel itself feels a little outdated, but nothing egregious. I would stay here again.

Location is 10/10, with the Higashi-Shinjuku train station next door to the hotel, loads of restaurants, 7/11s, and a coffee house nearby. Perfect for location and walking distance to Shinjuku. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel.

1 ⭐️star off for: I had questions regarding luggage shipping, staff seem to be speaking decent English were always confused when questions asked. I understand the language barrier though luggage forward is a very common thing that hotels do. Because of staff appeared to be uncertain, it made me feel super uneasy, I’m not sure if they understood but did say okay anyways??? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Location is next to local subway, one station away from JR line Shinjuku. Which is great. Very close to Kabukicho. Lots to see. There were a lots of siren sound from ambulance that go by. I think the hospital is close by? If you are light sleeper, get some earplugs. Typical small room. Luggage could be stored under the bed.
