Staff were very good in the restaurant and very friendly and helpful. Meals and drinks were excellent. It would have been nice to have air conditioning. And have the side door secure at night.

room was small but very nice. it was clean and the bed was comfy. bathroom was a little small with no counter space for toiletries. the restaurant and cafe were fantastic. wifi was not good at all. overall it was a great place to stay in Tofino. very close to downtown restaurants and stores.

We had a wonderful stay at the Maq Hotel in Tofino. Everything was great from start to finish. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and we would definitely stay here again when visiting Tofino. Highly recommended!

This is a boutique hotel conveniently located in central Tofino, walkable to shops and restaurants and with free parking. I loved the unique decor, the updated room, the on-site coffee shop and comfortable lobby. There is also a restaurant on-site which we didn't try, maybe another time. Complimentary cocktails were offered in the lobby, which was welcome. Directly across the road is a fun little book store with coffee bar on the water. While not a problem for us, there is no elevator to the floor with the rooms. We would stay here again.

Love the location, parking was available for us, and they set up a cute pet area for our pup! They let us have free drip coffee, ice was available for the cooler provided and they had a promo for free welcome cocktail! The lady at the front was super sweet and let us check in early and when i left my ID at the front desk she tucked it in our room for us which was super sweet!! Will stay again!

For the price of a night’s stay, this property did not deliver. The room was small. A cooler was provided for refrigeration (you had to go to the attached liquor store for ice), there was a fan provided as there was no AC. No coffee maker! There was a hair dryer provided but no plug in the bathroom. We were disappointed! The on site restaurant was fantastic!

Was better than we thought - there is a pub downstairs and thought we would hear it, turns out the sound insulation is decent. There was a barking dog next to us on the first night, we didn’t hear it after that. Good restaurant and bar in lobby. Staff a little disinterested. Decent bed and bathroom!

Great location, nice staff. Room was clean, good size, bed comfortable and great view. Bathroom door didn’t close, drape rod fell down and no fridge. Cooler was ok and the Maq offered ice. No elevator so if stairs are an issue beware.

We got an early check in as it’s normally not until 5. A cute boutique hotel close to all amenities. On site has a restaurant and a place to have breakfast as well. Food is great! There is also a liquor store where you can make purchases and get free ice by showing your key fob. You will receive a welcome cocktail or mocktail, 10% off food purchases during your stay and 2 free beverages ( we used ours for coffee so not sure if alcohol applies) make note there are no elevators and the rooms though comfortable have no mini fridge but a cooler instead ( that’s why the free ice) it worked fine for us. The staff was always helpful and friendly. A great patio to have a meal and quiet hours are in place from 10pm to 8am. One parking spot is included. If you need to do laundry there is one in town. A beautiful place to spend a vacation.

The room was really nice and cozy, and the bathroom was stunning. The new renovation looks absolutely amazing! The front desk accommodated an earlier check-in for us which was lovely. We also didn’t hear any noise from the pub downstairs at all, but we were in the wing on the other side of the hotel — if we had paid for an ocean view then we would have been in the wing directly above the pub which would have likely meant noise. The Bear was also really good and the oysters we had were divine! Would absolutely stay here again
