“The Hambutota Shangra-La was very nice with ocean side access and amenities that made our 3 day stay very enjoyable. Two situations affected our stay. First, a last minute request for a second room met with a delay as room accessories needed to be repaired. “This property was vacant and no one else staying there. I felt unsafe here, there was no warm water. The towels were hard, only one toilet paper. The fridge was faulty. I didn’t want to have breakfast as I was worried about the standard of hygiene. It really smelt like animal faecal matter due to the cows and buffaloes near by. ”
