The price was definitely right, but I wish house keeping cleaned the room at least once while we were there.

Huge rooms, beautiful views, quite and in the city. Easy to get around .

Such a wonderful hotel well maintained , to the cleanliness of the property breakfast was also very good. We also loved how it was in the middle of everything walking distance to where we needed to go.

The room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and courteous. But it was lacking some essentials for the price we paid compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in SF. Such as a lighted or any kind of makeup mirror. And the light was not adjustable in the bathroom for putting makeup on. No place to conveniently hang a used hand towel or wash rag. Very little room to place toiletries for two guests. It would have been adequate for one person. Only two towels, which really isn’t enough for two people if you use one for your hair, and one for your body. No coffee maker and we were on the 5th floor. The room really just had the bare necessities. But it did have a very large tv, and although it was smart, it did not have HBO Max, Paramount+, Apple TV, Prime Video. Just YouTube. And Sling. And no instructions on how to operate. It was easy to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. I’m not sure we would stay there again, unless we got a really good room rate.

I had a great stay at The Marker. It exceeded my expectations. The room was a great size, comfortable bed and pillows. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The communal space - lounge and seating areas are great. Enjoyed having access to hot beverages in the mornings and access to good quality drinking water. The complimentary glass of wine was also a very nice touch. Add to this the location, very easy to access airport, and all the main tourist destinations from the hotel by either public transit, walking or Uber. I would definitely stay there when I visit SF again.

We’ve stayed at the Westin St Francis multiple times over the years and always looked forward to returning. Unfortunately, this once grand old hotel is grand no more. The Powell street lobby entrance has been invaded by a huge bar/lounge that looks cool but doesn’t open until 4pm. It takes up a lot of prime real estate in the hotel and serves no real purpose for the better part of the day. To check into the hotel you now enter on Geary into an area that feels temporary, kind of like the vibe you get at an airport gate under construction. It’s just very disjointed. The fake cherry trees and fake flower wrapped columns in the lobby are tacky, and dusty. Two of my family members had sneezing fits while standing under the faux blooms. They chuckled about the paper flower pollen being particularly bad this time of year. The hotel has also done away with any lobby seating. Your only hope of seating is in the garden cafe, which makes it feel a bit like a Greyhound bus station. Some of the registration staff were better at their jobs than others, who seemed generally malcontent. We stayed in the Tower this trip; the best part was the amazing view from our room and the super fast glass elevators. Happily, the mattresses are wonderful. Our room was ok but could use a refresh. One family member found litter in his room. Thinking back on past stays, maybe the rooms were always a bit outdated but the majesty of the hotel overshadowed any shortcomings. Sadly, for us the magic is gone.

We loved our stay here! It is an older building beaming with charm and class. Our room was oversized and on the corner with incredible views of the bay. Even with the airport right there, we never heard the planes; the room is quiet. Everyone who works there is polite and helpful. Breakfast was convenient and yummy. The rooms were very clean and the amenities fantastic. I highly recommend staying here if you want to be outside of the craziness of the city.

Our stay at this historic hotel was so nice. I recommend breakfast as it was delicious and so convenient. While our room was very comfortable and modern, the highlight was listening to jazz in the Redwood Room. Service and atmosphere were phenomenal.
