Great hotel. Very friendly staff on reception. Check in smooth. Booked a table for dinner easily. Room was a good size with a big bed. Tea and coffee facilities. Only downside was there was a bath with a shower over. Would prefer a walk in shower. Dinner was excellent and great value for money. Breakfast was good. The hotel is in a small town, with beautiful fresh air and countryside a few minutes walk away. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was included in the cost of our stay. Anything you could possibly want for breakfast was provided, from fresh fruit, yoghurt and croissants to eggs, bacon, sausage, haggis and blood pudding and others. We were very happy with our stay here.

The room didn’t live up to our expectation of exceptional. The room lacked character. Walls were bare and only the bare essentials were provided. There were two single beds with a doona that just covered the width of the bed. The curtains barely coveredthe window which allowed twilight in. Just one half bottle of shampoo/body wash and there was no hand wash or soap. Tv aerial had been disconnected. One towel freyed. The two single beds reduced available floor space for luggage. Staff however were excellent and very good buffet hot breakfast provided.
