“Loud. Incredibly loud. First, they gave no indication that the room I was staying in opened directly onto the street. The door lock was strange, perhaps just something I'm not used to, but I struggled with ensuring that it was locked during the night. “Pleasant stay …very good room…helpful staff……think could upgrade non cooked breakfast options a little …not too onerous to offer good bread, jams or yoghurt or fruit but evening meals good”

“Nice and fresh room. Lovely staff. Extra milk/tea/coffee on corridor table and toothbrushes for those who require them. Dog bowls, treats and blankets if bringing your pooch. Food was lovely.”

“A wonderful welcome in the middle of the Peak District. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, impeccably clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend and book again.”

“The pub and restaurant are closed from Monday to Wednesday, but, the rooms are available, but, the breakfast is available, if you are staying there. The Inn is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and ample parking. The transport links are excellent to Huddersfield and surrounding areas. Julie, the host, is very nice and knowledgable about the area, who also cooks a very good breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, very spacious bathroom with a lovely selection of toiletries. ...

“The Pilsley Inn is the quintessential English country side experience. The room was thoughtfully appointed and way bigger than expected. Cozy bed, nice linens and thoughtful touches everywhere. The staff were delightful, each and every one of them. And the food…omg, the food! So good! We wish we booked more than one night!”

“Enjoyed our stay at the plough. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent. Room was a little small but well appointed, with tea making facilities, iron and ironing board, heater/ fan and hair drier. Bed comfortable. 1k from the centre of Hathersage, lots of parking for residents and bus stops outside.”
