“We had a very comfortable stay. The room was very clean, the breakfast made to your order with additional cereal and juice available. The staff were very friendly and concerned about our needs. Car parking was provided at the back. The location was within walking distance from the town centre pubs and restaurant as well as next to a big Tesco. Perhaps the TV was a tad small. ”

“This countryside property just outside Thirsk is easy to find and offers a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, featuring a great shower, huge plush towels, bathrobes, and slippers. Having access to a pool and hot tub was a fantastic bonus. “When we arrived it was clear the cottage had not been cleaned. The previous occupants' dirty sheets and towels were piled up and there were no clean sheets or pillowcases for the bed. The kitchen was dirty and there was damp and peeling wallpaper. It was not possible to contact the owner straight away and after a couple of hours we were told the owner could not send a cleaner until the following day. Since there was nowhere clean to sleep we left and went home”
