The food and drink was fantastic. The staff very helpful and their pub experience great! I wish we had more time allocated to experience this lovely part of the country. Also the cab service was fantastic and very flexible.
Immaculate, spacious and comfortable room with very nice bathroom, great food served promptly add friendly helpful staff .. wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when in the area
We were a party of Seven guys, who were fortunate to stay over and enjoy the wonderful hospitality, awesome food, great beer and service delivered with a smile!
Great communication and advice before arrival. Great parking facilities. Friendly staff, excellent rooms. Super facilities, didn't eat in the evening, but the breakfast was superb. Easy to get taxi into Thirsk.
Our stay at the Kings Arms was a delightful few days for us. Thirsk is a very interesting place with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and Moors. Our host was happy to share his local knowledge with us which was very helpful. The hotel food was excellent.

Eat there, don’t sleep there.
No shower rail or curtain, 2 single beds pushed together, bright fire escape light in room, noisy (thin walls).
Great food!
Gourmet meals. You'll meet some very nice locals in the bar.
Bed mattress in rm 3 needs replacing.

Friendly staff, lovely room and good location
FIrst impressions of The Kings Arm are really good with its charming location in a pretty village, immaculate interior to the pub and a very quick, friendly check in. The room was a good size and is very well presented, again immaculate, with a lovely ensuite bathroom. There was no view to speak of from this room but i'm sure if you were staying longer then I and want a better outlook then they would oblidge. The breakfast was excellent and with a wide choice. The location is about 5-10 minutes drive out of the town of Thirsk which is an historic market town and well worth a visit.
I couldn’t fault The Kings Arms, from the friendly, helpful welcome to the spotless accommodation, I had a double room for myself with an immaculately clean en suite which was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable which was ideal as I was using it after some long walks all weekend. The free WiFi was a bonus and the tv in the room accessed lots of streaming channels for chilling in the evening.
Breakfast was catered to your choices and was an ideal start to long days out walking.
On my return in the evening I was able to eat in with a delicious and varied menu where the hosts went out of their way to provide this, even though they had a busy bank holiday weekend of regular diners.
I would recommend this establishment to anyone wishing to stay in the Thirsk area as it is only a few miles out of the town in a quiet village. I would definitely use it again.
