Vacations Close To The Rust Belt

This facility is a typical run down, low budget ‘hotel’ that hasn’t been remodeled in at least 40 years. Everything is stained. The carpets, furniture and drapes are disgusting. The walls are thin. There is no blanket, only a top sheet and a thin bedspread. The bed is hard and uncomfortable. It stinks. It smells of mildew. The bathroom fan has a very loud rattle…and it’s not just in my room, I can hear the fans in the rooms next to me. There is an ice machine but no coffee pot. Vanity light works sporadically. The breakfast is pathetic. The desk clerk is never at the desk, you have to ring him up on a wall phone that is muffled and very low volume. Forget about finding a decent meal in this town, there is little to nothing here, and most of the downtown area is vacant. The sad thing is that it will still cost you a hundred bucks a night. I will not be staying here again.
